Picture of Vangess(Mal's sister). Played also by Mackenzie Mauzy, I think.

For those of you who don't know, the pronunciation of Vangess is; Vanjess. The g makes a j sound. Everything else makes its own sound.

Excuse the mistakes.

Mal's POV:

In two days Vangess' favorite singer is having a concert here in Indiana, and of course she has to go.

I watched the conversation between her and Mom as I stood next to the staircase smirking at Vangess.

"But Mom, this could be a once in a lifetime experience. He might never come here again," said Vangess.

"Sweetie, he has two concerts here. It's okay for you to miss one," Mom replied.

"Not it's not. Plus, I already bought the tickets for me and my friend to go to both."

Mom shrugged. "Give the second set away."

"But Mom, what if I take a bad picture of him and I don't have time to take another? What if he thinks I'm weird at one concert? Then, I can't dress up as a different person and come back not weird. What if-"

Mom cut Vangess off. "Fine, you can go."

"Yes!" Vangess screamed. She hopped around and started to do some stupid dance. How can someone get this worked up over some random dude who happens to be famous?

"But," Mom said. Vangess groaned. "You have to take Mal with you to at least one."

My eyes went wide.

"What?!" My sister and I yelled in unison.

I came from my place by the staircase and joined my sister in front of our mother.

"Mom, don't make me go. I can't," I said.

"Why not?"

"Because I don't want to go to some wannabe snotbag's concert."

Vangess turned to me and gasped. "How dare you speak of Ron Dallen that way." She glared at me.

I shrugged.

"See, Mom, if I bring her, she will ruin my reputation. I don't want to be seen with her in such a public place. And there's going to be a famous person there," said Vangess.

"Vangess, stop this nonsense. Your sister is going, it will help her to be more social. Then, we won't have to be embarrassed by her," Mom said.

I think they forgot I was standing right there.

"Well, can we help her not be an embarrassment some other time? This is really important."

"No, you're taking your sister. And if I find out that you left her, you're grounded for two weeks."

"But, Mom-"

"No buts. Now, go clean your rooms or something." Mom walked off to her room massaging her head like we gave her a headache.

I turned to Vangess only to see that she was glaring at me.

"This is your fault," she hissed.

"How was this my fault. I didn't even do anything," I said.

"You just had to be you," Vangess said. "You couldn't talk to people or anything. Maybe if you'd actually talked or tried to be cooler, nobody would be embarrassed by you. Maybe if you weren't always so annoying I'd actually like to go places with you. But no, you just had to be you with your annoying, bitchy comments and your little miss boring personality. You just had to be you," Vangess said. She turned on her heels and stomped up the steps and to her room.

What have I done to deserve this? I always thought I was pretty decent.

I walked to the door and stepped outside. I don't think anyone will notice that I'm gone, I thought.

My house is surrounded by nature, it's on the outskirts of town. No people, not many buildings, just nature.

I personally love it. It's what I have in common with my father. When him and my mother were in the early marriage stage my father wanted to live somewhere away from all the people. He wanted to live in peace, but my mother wanted to live in a place full of city lights, streets bustling with people. She wanted New York or Vegas, he wanted Massachusetts or Indiana.

But, since my father had money and my mom really didn't, they moved to a house with no people around, here in Indiana. Despite the differences they still loved each other.

Couple years later and their first child was born, Vangess. The next year I was born.

Throughout the years until Dad left, he hated the way Mom treated me. She never paid me any mind, always giving her full attention to Vangess. Dad would argue that I needed love and affection, but Mom has always liked Vangess more than me. She was prettier, she played with the other kids at the park, she had people come over, she was just better than me.

Dad liked me better, though. He said I reminded him of himself, that I was just like him.

As I walked around in the peaceful forest, my mind wandered to many things. There was so much going on in my head I didn't even see the tree right in front of me.

I ran straight into the tree and fell back on my butt. I looked around to see if anyone saw, but how could they, I'm alone out here.

I got up and laughed at my ridiculousness.

"Hello?"

----------------------------------

Hey perps. The sudden ending was really weird, I know, but I was tired of saying I. It got really annoying.
