It was roughly 7 in the morning when I woke up today. Dad's training started getting really hard and complicated whenever I finally turned ten. * A/N he's 12 rn* "You have to be prepared in case I'm not home and a demon attacks someday" he told me while teaching me how to stand properly while holding a blade. I was a really quick learner for my age so naturally my training would be harder than the average 10 year old could handle. After snapping out of my flashbacks, I got ready and made sure to eat a small breakfast considering I was going to be running up and down the mountain I lived on while trying to dodge my father's attacks.

"Tanjiro you're going to be late for training if you don't hurry up and deliver the coal!" My mother exclaimed from outside, "coming mom!" I yelled back as I was putting on my shoes. Did I mention I also have to deliver coal while dodging my father? No? Oh well. I was halfway down the mountain when I smelled a thick iron scent through the trees. 'Must be an animal' I thought as I continued running. Thirty minutes later and I was almost at the base of the mountain. Normally this would be great for me because I would finally have to stop dodging my father and could deliver the coal in peace, however, it had been more than thirty minutes and my father had not attacked once after I heard the weird sound in the forest. Naturally, I brushed it off as a coincidence and continued delivering coal to the families in the village. About an hour later, I was making my way up the mountain when I decided I was going to investigate the sound I heard earlier. In hindsight, probably not the best idea but oh well. When I finally got to the point where I hear the sound from I was horrified. There I saw....
