They got to the second floor of the equariom and the young girl explained how the dolphins had to have certain fish that is perfect just like from a restaurant as they need to be supper picky and careful about what the dolphins eat. Sawyer just stayed quiet and listened to what she was saying he didnt really talk much.
First off she showed him Christa and Panama two of the dolphins who have had to stay at CMA for ages. They seemed happy to see sawyer he waved at them and they waved there fins back at him in a fun way splashing the water up and down. All the dolphins had to be in pools with other dolphins it was a law because they are extreem social animals but when its original medical reasons they unfortunately cant be.
Then they got to the animal care pools right at the top of the aquarium where winter was in a small pool with another member of staff walking her round in it. The two 11 year olds went and stood behind a cabinet with stuff on for caring for animals and carefully and quietly stepped up a ladder to look over it and to view the dolphin. And thats when the young girl told sawyer "she hasnt moved since she got here, she hasnt even opened her eyes" she then idioticly leaned forward nocking one of the shelved cabinets drawing the atention of phoebe the member of staff in with winter "hazel" she exclaimed seeing her.
Hazel and Sawyer got down from the laders and went round the front to see her and the dolphin and thats when hazel explained to phoebe who he was how he got the ropes off of winter and that they just wanted to see how she was doing. There was a lot of dead tissue and the surculation from her tail had been cut off for a long time.
Winter suddenly lifted her head out of the water and made the tweety bird noise again like she did at the beach she made it for him for sawyer. Then just in the moment just as it happened dr clay hazels dad and head of Clear Water Marine Aquarium turned up hazel quickly grabbed her new friends hand and dragged him in the other direction avoiding the male adult as it was against the rules to actually have sawyer there.
As the young boy was about to ride off the blonde freckled girl introduced herself properly "oh im hazel by the way like the eye colour" she smiled waiting for a response of his name "sawyer" the young boy said back before riding off away from the marine hospital and back home on his bike.
