Poem 2

If I let you in

And show you my mind

Would you abandon me?

It happens all the time.

If I let go of my mask,

And reveal my disease,

Would you still love me?

Or would you flea?

I've given up caring about anyone.

They always leave me unraveled, undone.

No one sees through my mask, I've perfected it, see.

Or maybe, just maybe,

No one cares about me.
