No Face (Corpse x Reader) ON HOLD

Chapter 2

I was playing Among Us with the group again. We were waiting for a new person Toast invited to join since Scarra left.

"Who did you invite Toast??" Rae asks.

"(Y/t/n). She's a small YouTuber. She rarely gets to stream, so I thought it'd be nice if she could join." Toast replied.

"RAE!!!!" Sykunno shouted into the mic, making me flinch at the sound.

"Whoa, Sykkuno, what was that for?" I asked as everyone groaned and questioned him.

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you with my fridge!" Sykkuno continues, ignoring everyone else.

"Whhaattt? What do you meaann?" Rae responds, obviously guilty of whatever Sykkuno was accusing her of.

"That box of nuggies clearly had my name on it! As you so clearly saw because it was still in the fridge!" Sykkuno cried.

"What's going on?" Toast asked.

"Rae ate all of my chicken Nuggets EXCEPT ONE!!! And the box clearly had my name on it! I labeled every side!" Sykkuno explained.

Rae started laughing, along with the other girls.

"At least she left you one," I say, trying to be optimistic.

"Hahaha, I'm sorry Sykkuno, I'll buy you double next time," Rae says, trying to muffle her laugh.

"Fine, but why did you even eat them?! I bought you some too!" Sykkuno continued.

"Because they were there, and I was hungry" Rae replied

"There's plenty of other snacks that you like! I specifically bought those for a reason!!" Sykkuno retorted.

"But I wanted the nuggiesssss"

"Rae, no, those were my chicken nuggets! I even wrote my name on them!" Sykkuno stated.

"Oh, come on, I already said I'd buy you more. I'm sorryyyy" Rae replied.

Suddenly, there was an unfamiliar laugh. I looked at the members in the discord server, thinking a fan somehow got into our chat. I see a new member in the group with the name (Y/t/n). The profile picture was a drawing of a girl with a Kitsune half-mask.

Pooki was the first to speak up, practically yelling into her mic. 'I guess they're the one we were waiting for.' I think to myself as I listen to the conversation. Eventually, we got introduced to each other and started playing a round.

While playing, I had a feeling as if I knew about (Y/t/n) already.

Something about her voice and the name she used for the among us character seemed familiar.

I got distracted when I saw (Y/t/n) and PewDiePie walk into the lab together. I had just killed Markiplier as they walked in. "Crap," I say. But with as PewDiePie goes to report the body, (Y/t/n) kills him. This made me chuckle as we both stayed still.

"Second double, nice. Now we just have one more person to go." I say to no one in particular and make my character follow (Y/t/n)'s.

Before we could get really far, the body was called and we got put into a meeting. The group didn't know whether to vote off (Y/t/n) of Jack, so I came up with a quick plan. I barely talked during the discussion, but at the very end of it, I said "Vote Jack."

Jack was caught off guard and all the votes went in. Luckily, three of the five players voted for Jack, letting (Y/t/n) and I win the game.

After the game, we discussed the funny parts and started up a new one. I checked the time, seeing it was over an hour that (Y/t/n) had been playing with us, but I didn't want to tell her because I wanted to keep playing with her.

I remembered who she was. She's a small YouTuber that I've seen in some of Pooki's videos. They seemed to be close and I've gone to her channel a few times, but I never really watched her videos.

I got wrapped up in playing again, having fun with the group. Out of nowhere, (Y/t/n) unmutes herself and says, "I have to go guys, thanks for having me. It was really fun!" Before anyone could even unmute, she logged off the discord server.

I got a bit concerned because of the panic in her voice. I get that she was playing for a lot longer than she said she would but what happened so suddenly?

I unmute myself and ask the group, "Is she okay? Her voice seemed panicked."

Everyone but Toast and Pooki agreed and started getting concerned. Then, Toast spoke up "She said that she has some errands to do before her roommate comes home."

For some reason, my gut told me not to trust his words, but they seemed close so I shrugged it off, "Oh, okay."

After we all decided to stop playing and all ended our streams, I logged out of the discord call. I sat in my chair, staring at my screen. Something felt wrong. The tone in (Y/t/n)'s voice didn't sound like she had to run errands. It more sounded like a kid who was about to get beat after doing something wrong.

I went online, searching for her YouTube account, and once I found it, I started watching some of her videos. I noticed the three main people she played with were Toast, Pooki, and a YouTuber named Quinbobin.

She had a lot of diverse content, and I enjoyed all the commentary in the videos. Her videos were really good, and it seemed like her fans loved them. The channel in general was a good community. There were many polls that would decide the games she would play. She would even double-post if a poll came to a tie.

She rarely ever streamed. There was probably one every two months at best, but she made sure to regularly post videos.

After a couple of hours, I turned off my computer, noticing how late it was. I took out my phone as I went to heat up a cup of ramen for dinner. As it was doing its thing in the microwave, I pulled up Instagram and searched for her there. Thankfully it was easy to find her since her account was verified. I look at her posts, seeing mostly aesthetic posts, before following her.

I contemplated whether or not to message her, asking if everything was okay, but I turned my phone off and finished waiting for my ramen.

Toast and her seemed close, so if Toast deliberately lied, there must be a good reason.

With that, I got my ramen from the microwave and started eating.
