"Huh?" I raised my hands and lower my head to look at them, front and back. "Did I... teleport?" I asked myself as looked to my left and then my right. I quickly looked to my right again when I heard a whooshing sound. And to my surprise, Dwight appeared with a strong gust of black smoke that raised up some of clothes for a few seconds, then it vanished like it was never there to begin with. "Nea?!", he stuttered with shock. "Dwight?!" I was also surprised to see him.

An old man in a solider's uniform and Claudette dressed in her regular clothing appeared during our shock. "Wait... I know this guy..." I closely examined the old stranger as Dwight started anxiously biting his nails. "Oh for fucks sake, Bill?! I can deal with a self-centered Claudette, but not a bossy old man who always tells me what to do!" I shouted at him in frustration while grinding my teeth. He turned to me and replied, "And with good reason, you're a rebellious teen who thinks you've avoided hell, but YOU wouldn't recognize TRUE hell even if smacked you across your scummy face!". He then looked away in an attempt to ignore me. His comment infuriated me. "Listen here you overconfident crusty ass bitch! YOU have no fucking idea what I'VE been through! What may seem like a minor everyday issue to you, can be LIFE CHANGING for me! Like you said, I'm a fuckin' teenager! I'm still young, stupid, and hasn't witnessed a HANDFUL of what the world has to offer! And judging from the way things are now, I might NEVER be able too!" I didn't realize it, but I was crying. Everyone was looking at me, all I could do was bit my bottom lip, hang my head down, and cover my face with my left arm. TIN-SHHHH! I popped up as soon as I heard the noise. Thump thump, thump thump, thump thump. I looked around frantically as everything faded to black. I don't know how long I couldn't see, but I was more scared of what was going to happen next.

When I reopened my eyes, my heart was pounding, and my face drenched in sweat. I looked around, in hopes to spot the others. "Claudette? N-nea? Bill..?" No one respond, I was alone. Panic filled my veils, and my whole body began to shake. "Claudette?!" I shouted. "NEA?!" Each time, my voice grew louder. "BILL!!!" Silence... was the only thing that answered... until. Thump thump, I put my left hand on my chest to check my heartbeat,  thump thump, "Again?" I whispered to myself. As the heartbeat grew louder, I slowly backed up, until I finally turned around and saw a (locker)? I quickly dashed through the snow and entered the locker, and slowly closed it behind me. "What the-?" A roar of an engine echoed towards me. "Is that, a chainsaw?" I continued my whisper. RERR, ARRRRRR!!! Cleashhh!! Room roommm!! (What did I just witness?! A monster, no... a man! Moving at lightning's speed while holding a CHAINSAW up to his chest?!) I say in my head. (It hit the wall at full speed, but it's not harmed at all!) "Wha..?!" I was on the verge of fainting when he opened the locker! The monstrous man grabbed me by the throat and threw me over his shoulder like I was a towel! (What is this guy?! And what's with his inhuman strength?!) As the creature limped towards an unknown destination, I struggled and wiggled in a desperate attempt to regain freedom. But no matter how much I tried, I was thrown onto a hook that penetrated the upper left side of my peck. The pain was unbearable, I burst into tears and yelled to the top of lungs, praying that someone will hear me. When the creature trotted off, all I could do was hang there and cry. Now more than ever, I wanted to go home, but where is home? Is there truly a place that I, Dwight Fairfield, can call home? I didn't know, and the pain kept me from thinking about it any farther. So I closed my eyes, and prayed once more.

"DWIGHT!" Nea squealed in horror. (Nea..?) I opened my eyes and saw Bill pulling me off the hook. It hurt a lot, but not nearly as much as it did when I was hanging by my wound. "Dwight? Do you remember the tutorial? The trial that we all played where the entity taught us how to survive these trials?" Bill asked with his hand on my shoulder. "Yes... wha-" Bill interrupted me with a "Good." before ordering Nea, who was already running up to me, to also place her hands on my back, and move them in a rubbing motion. Bill placed his hands on my back first, then Nea joined him. During this healing session, I realized that the wound in my chest was now in my side. "What?!" I felt something stab me as Nea jerked back. I screamed from the action, then Bill repeated her mistake. I stood up and backed away from them. "What are you guys doing?! When I was being healed by that entity spawn or whatever, I wasn't receiving more pain!" I shouted at them. "It was Nea's fault, and what happened was simple. In the tutorial we learned what skill checks were, and that we have to hit them by triggering a clicking sound in our minds at the right time. Or else we'll notify the killer of our location, harm our teammate, and slow the healing process." Bill calmly explained with his arms crossed, head down, and eyes closed. Nea frantically tried to explain herself. "WELL! I forgot! I was so lost in thought from the situation that I-" Thump thump...thump thump... My eyes narrowed when I heard the heartbeat again. "No... not again, it's coming!!" I shouted as I ran towards the nearest pallet to hide behind the rock that held it up. I darted off so quickly that I didn't realize Nea and Bill were following me. Bill was determined to finish healing me, but when Nea tried to help, he told her off. This obviously made her upset, but Bill was too focused on healing me to care, and Nea turned her attention towards the approaching danger. "Umm... guys?" Nea was anxious and backing up. "What now?!" An irritated response from Bill. "I think it saw me" Nea said as she began running away. "WHAT?!" Me and Bill shouted. The man went threw the pallet and smacked Nea with his mallet. Despite our shouting, he didn't seem to notice us, just Nea. "Dwight, stay here, I'll save Nea." My comrade stood up and left my side before I could respond. I felt so useless just crouching here, but there was nothing I do. Other than... generators.

I decided to run into the large building, where I witness Claudette hiding next to the gen that she just popped, as Bill takes a hit for Nea and starts heading my way before noticing me, so he ran in Nea's direction. The monster seemed more interested in Bill as he chose to ignore me, and he never saw Claudette. She rushed over to me after the beast left the building. I hugged her immediately, I was so thankful that she was okay. She blushed a little, then took my hand and led me towards a generator in the corner of the trail. "Dwight, t-thanks for the h-hug, but I need you to help me complete this generator. I assume you know how?" I nodded and blushed quite hard. "It's okay if you mess up, it's how we learn, and God knows how many times I blew up those two gens I did by myself." She laughed. "Just remember to focus, we got this!" We spotted Bill vaulted back into main building. I took a deep breathe and fist bumped Claudette, then we got to work on the gen. I took note that we needed two more gens to escape. (The Hillbilly, I remember now! The entity warned us about facing The Hillbilly. Based on what's happened so far, that guy is definitely trying to kill us! We need to escape, all of us!)

A few explosions later and we completed the gen as Bill finally went down. Claudette spotted Nea with empathy and trusted me to save Bill while she healed Nea. I was terrified, but I didn't want to let her down. I darted towards Bill and somehow managed to evade the killer. I unhooked Bill with a smile, I was so proud of myself! I tried to heal him until I heard a chainsaw riming. I turned around to see the Hillbilly charging at me with full speed. Bill saw me frozen in fear and pushed me out of the way. When he was hit by the chainsaw, I thought for sure that he was dead. But he wasn't! He ended up in dying state. For once, I was thankful to the entity for this horrible system. The killer picked up Bill, as he struggled, he ordered me run. But instead, I held my breath and stood behind the killer. It hooked Bill again, and started to chainsaw it's way to Claudette and Nea. I exhaled and waited patiently for the correct moment to grab him. The entity appeared and attempted to kill him. I remained calm and waited, until it stabbed him. I freed Bill again, but we ran to a pallet this time. I healed him without harming him once, I was proud once more. Claudette got injured, and Nea popped the last gen. Claudette got hooked as me and Bill were literally standing in front of the hook. Bill told me his plan. (I'm not going to fail, we will make it out. Together!) I distracted the killer by running straight into him, his mallet should've broken my bones when it hit me, but the entity's rules blessed me once again. Bill unhooked Claudette, and the killer rimmed his chainsaw into her, but she survived?! (But how?! Was it a perk? It must've been.) Nea escaped when Claudette was unhooked. Confused, the killer tried to down Bill and Claudette with it's chainsaw again. By following Bill's lead, they both dodged the attack. We now all had to run pass the creature to escape. Bill ran ahead of us and took another protection hit for us, and with that, we escaped!

I was overwhelmed with emotion when I returned to the campfire, everyone there was, except for a few, Bill was one of them. "Did we just do that...DID WE JUST DO THAT?! YESSS!!!" I had never been so relieved in my whole life. Not everyone was, but I wanted to spread my joy. I went around the camp, hugging and cheering up all of those who would let me. But finally, when it was time to settle down, Nea went straight to her cabin, Bill went for a walk with Ace, and I sat at the campfire. Claudette walked up to the log, and sat next to me, she laid her head on my shoulder, as I laid my head on her head. We were both blushing and enjoying the moment. "Thank you... for everything." She said in a soft calming voice with a sweet smile. "Y-y-you're welcome!" I replied in a more flustered yet energetic tone. "Claudette?" I turned to her. "Hm?" She turned to me. We locked gaze, "Thank you too... for everything." I smiled at her. She smiled back and giggled, then we cuddled on the log, until we were too tired to stay awake.
