"I'm trapped in here

And I wonder if I'm

Gonna make it through

Make it through the night."

"Shhhhhhuttttttt up Carl!" Marla whisper-yelled. "The people in Iceland are bound to hear you from here!"

"We're not even near the restaurant Marla," Lamar replied. "And we're not breaking into the backrooms, we're literally just going there regularly."

"...Oh, right."

"Hey, guys, don't you think that we're too old to be going to Freddy's?" Jessica asked.

"The burger joint or the kids' arcade and pizzeria?" Carlton asked. Jessica stared at him for a few moments.

"No, the place where people fall asleep and a guy comes into their nightmares and kills them," she said back, sarcastically. "Yes, the pizzeria, you idiot."

"I mean... we got kicked out of Bon's Burgers, but Chuck E. Cheese was awfully patient with us. The employees, I mean. And we all got those pictures with Chuck even though we were clearly in 9th grade," I added.

It was dusk, but the pizzeria was open until about 10. It's drizzling, so the somewhat warm-humid air was mixing nicely with the coolness of the water droplets. The sun was just barely peeking out all day today, so that meant that it'd be a dark night, even at sun-down.

As we started approaching the pizzeria, I could see flashing red and blue police lights from somewhere in that general direction. "Guys, do you see that?" I asked.

"Yeah, we can clearly see the glowing In-n-Out Burger sign in the distance," Carlton said in a sarcastic tone.

"Oh my God, Carlton, shut up," I heard Jessica's voice say.

"Guys, would you just stop being so rude to him," John finally said. He'd been quiet the entire way over here so far. I wonder why. "And yes, [Y/N], I see them. She's talking about those lights rotating over by the pizzeria, or at least in that general direction."

We kept on walking closer and closer, until I could see clearly what was going on. The police were at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. There were a few cops clearly trying to keep people from getting inside, with the help of some employees, and multiple people running out of the restaurant. "I wonder what's going on," I heard Lamar say.

"Yeah, it looks like someone might've been busted," I replied.

"Oh my Lord, [Y/N], what did you do?" Marla asked in a joking tone.

I couldn't see exactly what was going on, but soon, there were two cops escorting some guy out, arms behind his back and in hand-cuffs. "Wow, I wonder what he did," Marla thought aloud. "Who is that?"

"Bold of you to assume their gender."

"I don't know." My friends know that I don't react as badly to situations like this, so they don't view me as a terrible person, and I love them for that. Normal people would be freaking out over a murder or just any type of crime, but I personally don't really care.

We made it near the front of the restaurant. Then, we saw one of the two owners, Henry Emily. "Hey, Mr. Emily!" I called.

"[Y/N], what the hell are you doing?" Jessica asked through gritted teeth.

"I'm getting some answers," was all that I said, just before trotting off.

"Sir, sir sir sir," I said quickly as I approached him. "I know that I'm probably pissing you off right now, but what happened?" He had water running down his face. Yup, he was crying. Wait, he was crying?! I'd never seen him cry before! Hey, at least I didn't say that his eyes were raining.

He said nothing, he just looked at me and then motioned towards the guy they were practically shoving into the back of the car labeled 'Sheriff'. I looked over and, within a few moments, suddenly recognized who it was. It was William. I opened my mouth, shocked. I let my mouth hang open for a few moments. What did he do?!

They closed the door and I continued staring, even as the crowd started clearing. He looked over and we locked eyes for a split second. But that split second felt like two years.

Almost everyone had cleared out and Jessica walked over to me. "They said he murdered multiple children. He's a literal serial killer, really?" she said, speaking in a mix of a soft and harsh tone. I felt the tears burning in my eyes. The one person I truly care about is gone. I don't know when and if I'll see him again.

"[Nickname]?" I, along with my friends, were the only ones left in the nearly empty parking lot. I felt... well, to be truthful, I felt nothing much. I wasn't going to let my friends see me like this. Without even thinking about it, I pushed past them and started running as fast as I could home.

I didn't stop either. I kept running, like I was sprinting to the finish line of some long race.

I couldn't stop. Until I reached my home. Both of my parents' cars were in the driveway.

When I got inside, I ran straight up to my room. "Oh, [Y/N], don't you want any dinner?" I heard my father ask.

"Sweetheart!" my mother called after me.

I almost slammed my door shut and landed on my bed with a thud. Then, I just started crying. I hadn't cried since I was 13. Who knew this would be the last time I cried in a really long time?

"The light, you'll never see

I have hope

I have strength

And they're creeping' everwhere

But I'm not that scared

I am strong

I am brave

You dare to mess with me?

This darkness I'll beat

And I will be free."
