"She's mad but she's magic. There's no lie in her fire."
-Charles Bukowski
"Come up here!" I shout over the wind.
Harry rolls his eyes but agrees and his curly head of hair pops up next to mine.
We are currently standing in the back seats of the car with our heads sticking out of the sun roof and our hands above our heads.
I've been hearing Chives laughing at our antics from the front ever since we got in the car.
"Be careful you two," he warns us.
"We will!" I assure him, half my body still out of the vehicle.
"This is amazing isn't it? I love the feeling of wind on my body," I look at Harry.
"It's great. I feel like just yelling," he laughs.
I don't respond and instead just let out a half scream half laugh, showcasing how much fun I'm clearly having.
Harry looks towards me before letting out a full scream. I would say we must look insane, standing with half of our bodies out of the roof and amusedly laughing at each other, but this is New York, everyone looks insane. I look at my surroundings and am greeted by familiar buildings which tells me we're getting close to my destination.
"We're almost there, come on," I say, pulling him back into the car with me and straightening ourselves out before Chives drops us off.
We pull up outside of the club that I'm a regular at and hop outside of the car immediately. I'm dying to get inside and finally have some real fun.
"Thanks Chives!' I yell before shutting the door.
"The line is huge, it's going to take forever to get in there," Harry tells me.
"No it won't," I say leading up the line.
I walk right to the bouncer, skipping everyone behind us. People groan, annoyed at me but I'm used to it.
"Hello Fred," I smile at the giant man at the front of the door.
"Hey Gigi," he smiles, "Your dad coming tonight?"
"No, he's actually at a work thing but I know he's been dying to come back. He misses DJing."
"Well you know you guys are welcome here anytime," he says and starts moving from the door to let us in.
"Have fun. Don't go too crazy," he winks.
"I'll try! See you Fred!"
He laughs as he closes the door behind us and we're let into my favorite club in New York.
"Well that was easy," Harry murmurs, "do you know everyone?"
"More like everyone knows me. I've been a bit of a New York socialite since I was 14," I wink.
"Okay Gossip Girl," he says sarcastically.
We look around at the sea of people dancing and drinking. Harry starts to make his way to the closest bar but I grab him and stop him.
"Let's go over there," I point to the second floor where the VIP section is.
I start walking over to it and Harry follows behind me.
We reach yet another bouncer who looks at the people standing in front of us and says , "name?"
The two girls say their names and he looks over the list before unhooking the velvet rope behind him and letting them in.
