Chapter 16

It was the day of your meeting, all had gone smooth in the morning and you found yourself at ease standing before the meeting room door. Walking in, all who were already there looked straight at you. From your previous meeting, you managed to make quite a good name for yourself amongst your colleagues. You had greeted Kaito and Akane before in the common room. They entered a little after you did.

All attendees made their way to their seats, though you all remained there for a little while, someone was late.

Bursting through the door with apologies flying through his mouth one after the other, he set his sight on you. Kaito and Akane made sure to sit on either side of you. In turn, irritating the hell out of him. He made it as apparent as possible after announcing that he wouldn't start this meeting until he could sit next to you, you facepalmed at his childishness and the stubbornness of your friends. They weren't moving. Especially Kaito.

Everyone had struck up conversation amongst themselves while waiting. It was a good thing no one was paying attention to your 'dilemma'. Primarily you had accepted the fact that you had to sit next to Raiko before the meeting even started, so you didn't mind. But your buddies felt otherwise.

As you were about to get up and shift to a seat where you could sit next to him and finally start the meeting, Akane tugged you down right back into your seat. Ren and Miyuko were sitting across from you, taking notice of the situation they offered you to sit in between them.

You were cringing constantly, shocked at how grown men were fighting over a couple of seats.

I just want to get this done and go home.

You lifted yourself once again from your seat, making sure all limbs were protected so they couldn't be grabbed. Stepping away from the large table you look at three unamused.

"Raiko can sit in between you two, I'm going to the other side," you claimed, nonchalantly. Raiko sighed and leaned his head back disappointed.

"No need Y/n, as I am superior in terms of this meeting's hierarchy. I will be sitting at the head of the table. I only make exceptions for you." He exclaimed with an arrogant smile. Leaving your companions irked to the nerve.

As he took his seat he cleared his throat, indicating that the meeting had commenced. He adjusted his tie while looking at you.

Does this guy not take a hint?

You turned your gaze to your files in front of you slightly embarrassed, making him smirk a little more.

"Good morning all, thank you for attending today's meeting. This is going to be a long and information-filled conference so pay close attention. I would like to sound more welcoming but I hate long introductions so let's get started."

The sound of paper and pens filled the room as people readied their books.

"As we all know from our previous meeting, we uncovered 1 of the three adults who had transformed 82 years ago. Kamiya Kozu. After being transformed and rebirthed into a special grade curse user, she was able to shapeshift into younger bodies to retain her youth. She had to touch her victims to transform into them. She had touched 17 victims in total before she was captured by us."

Some people were disgusted at how many victims she had.

"After an interrogation was conducted, we found that the other two Kozus are men. They too are still young and thriving for some reason. What's also more shocking is that one of them was a student who attended jujutsu tech, the same time as Y/n. Though, for reasons of hiding his true identity his last name was changed."

You lifted your head from writing and looked at Raiko confused. He continued.

"Suguru Geto was the name mentioned."

A gasp managed to escape your mouth.

( hi, a quick note. You're probably thinking 'uh wtf is this author'. I know it sounds crazy, but Suguru is one of the adults from long ago. )

The thought of Gojo crying and in distress flooded your mind. Your heart felt heavy.

"We have no idea of his current whereabouts or his contact with Kamiya. But what we do know is their plan."

Everyone lifted their gaze and paid close attention. You especially.

"As they were all present on the day of the initial mission. They turned the first years into children in hopes to put them through the same rebirth process as they did. Especially with Sukuna's vessel, they aimed to grant Sukuna all of his power so that he wouldn't be trapped in the boy's body and he could join Kamiya and the other two."

"But why would he want to join them? What was their end game?" Ren asked.

"Their endgame wasn't specified, unfortunately. All that was established was what they wanted with the three kids. Especially now that there are closely linked to Gojo Satoru and Y/n. It was lucky that Y/n went away from the curses on the night of admission. Kamiya explained that she and the other adult were to kill her, specifically ordered by Suguru." Everyone paused and looked at you. Though you paid no attention to them and remained unfazed you were slightly worried.

"What they wanted to do was primarily get sukuna to take over Itadori. So that not much suspicion was raised over a single child, they thought that 2 more companions on their side were better than one. So they turned all three of them in hopes that they could... I guess brainwash them I-" Raiko was abruptly interrupted.

"Sorry, but are we just going to ignore the fact they attempted to murder Y/n? Why would they want her killed?" Akane said.

"Well, it makes sense now. When Kamiya was acting as our commander, she assigned me specifically. Not anyone else." You added, maintaining a professional state of mind and delivery with your words.

"But Gojo was there wasn't he. I'm not one to compliment people but he is undeniably strong." Ren suggested.

"They might have not known that he was there. Not only that but before we even dismissed ourselves to fight the 'curses', he went off to check the surrounding areas for civilians..." You said with a troubled expression.
