Sei x Albert

This conversation takes place in the early morning when Sei and Albert return to Saltunia(Episode 13)

Albert's POV

After the expedition, everyone was very tired and even a night's sleep didn't help any of them, except Sei. It seems that Sei had a good sleep which completely refreshed her and seeing her, wandering in the garden trying to find new kinds of herbs with a huge smile, proves it.

(Albert joining Sei in her morning walk)

Sei (Notices Albert)– Hawke-Sama!!

Albert – It seems that you had a good sleep, Sei. Your face is glowing beautifully.

Sei – A-Arigato Hawke-Sama... (Blushes)

Albert – May I ask what you are doing here so early in the morning?

Sei – The air today was so fresh and pleasing that I couldn't keep inside my room! And after all we are leaving today, so I just came here to take a walk and also ....

Albert – And to see if you could find some new herbs?

Sei – Hai !

(Both of them laugh)

*After a few minutes ....

(Sei smiling and walking ahead)

Albert – It seems you're very happy today. What's the reason?

Sei – Hai! A very special one! My birthday is coming in a few weeks! Yesterday, at night, I had a dream where I was reliving my 22nd birthday with my family. It was a really fun day and I still consider it my best birthday ever. It was so beautiful <3 ......I wish I could celebrate it like that just once more...(In a gloomy and emotional voice)

Albert – I see...

*The very next day after they left the Klausner Domain*

No one's POV

They had just arrived in Sultania.As they had just come back from an expedition, the King had relieved the Third Order from any duty for a week. But still, even with this break, Albert's mind is flustered, but why?

Albert POV

(While waiting for Sei outside the Institute)

Sei still seems a bit off ... I guess it's because of her not being able to enjoy her birthday. We called her without her permission and then, didn't even think how she would feel and how she would miss her loved ones... I really want to see her smile again... Whenever she smiles, I feel happy and get a feeling that I should protect her. I must do something to make her smile...... How about a gift? If they celebrate birthdays the same way in their world, I feel a birthday gift would make her very happy. But what kind? Accessories ...no I have already given her the hair pin .Cosmetics .... she can make her own plus she is naturally beautiful ...New clothes.....women have a lot of those (Remembers his mom's closet). I have run out of ideas...Maybe Johan might know...

(In Director Johan's Office)

Johan – A gift for Sei... It is difficult to think of something for her. She is a lot different from other women of her age...I do agree with you though. We did summon her without her permission and it's our responsibility to not let her feel lonely.

Albert- Yes... I just don't want to see Sei like that.

Johan – I know it is not of much help, but Sei considers you a special person in her life, after all you are the reason, she gets all flustered (In Background Albert- Shut up Johan). Even if you give her a simple thing which you picked or made for her, she will love it all the same and hold it as a very important thing to her. So, I think instead of something materialistic, give something that will make her memory treasure it even more!

Albert – Arigato-Gozaimasu Johan!

The moment Johan said that, I got a brilliant idea in my head. I am so thankful for having him as my best friend. Now, to put the plan into action

*After finishing his work, he begins to prepare Sei's surprise.

No One's POV

Sei was busy because of Sir Drewes continuously experimenting on her powers! (She is the saint after all and plus Sir Drewes is VERY stubborn) That is why Albert didn't have to answer any questions as to why he wasn't able to meet Sei!

Sei's Birthday Day!

Only a few people knew about Sei's birthday because no one bothered to ask her and neither did she bother to tell anyone. The only ones who knew about it were the people whom she considered her family in that world. Albert had asked Sei to meet him in the garden which was a little far away from the Institute.

Sei POV

Sei – Is it just me or is Sir Drewes acting weird... ! He let me leave early from the lectures without any questions.That reminds me, I haven't seen Hawke-Sama since the past two days. I hope he is doing well......

*Sei enters the garden –

Sei – Wow! This is so beautiful!!(Sniffs) isn't that lavender scent? It's my favourite! It's so relaxing and calm. Oh my! Are those sweets? Looks like it... (Rose petals fall on her) Soo pretty!!

Albert – Happy Birthday Sei! So, did you like it?

Sei – Hawke-Sama! Wait! You did all this for my birthday?

Albert- Yes. We are sorry that we summoned you without thinking how you will feel once you get here, without any of your loved ones. I do hope this surprise will be able to live up to the Birthday you talked about so happily, with a wonderful smile on your face.

Sei- Its-Its (Happy tears) an amazing surprise! I loved it! It might even be better than my last birthday because you did all of this for me. Arigato(Smiles)

Albert – I am glad. Now, wipe your tears. It's your birthday, so have a smile on your face. Shall we? (Extends his hand)

Sei – Hai (Takes his hands)

*Dinner Table

Sei – The food is so tasty! All of these are my favourite dishes! How did you know I am so fond of these meals!

Albert – Actually, I asked Liz to help me. You used to visit her often before so when I went to ask her, she happily helped me.

Sei – You went that far for me... I am really happy!

Albert – It was difficult to come up with a gift for you, so I settled with this. Here, open it.

Sei – Beautiful!!!It has such an amazing design. Also.... It has the same colour as your eyes... That makes it more special...Arigato!

Albert – I am really happy that it worked. (Smiles)

(At the end of dinner)

Sei- If I may ask, is this surprise the reason why you weren't able to meet up with me?

Albert- I thought you wouldn't notice it, but guess I got caught.

Sei- It makes me so happy that you did all this for! This evening will Truly be the most memorable for me and I will never be able to forget it.

Albert- Not so soon. There is one more thing. Lady Sei, would care to have a dance with me?

Does he really need to have such beautiful eyes and a wonderful smile... No girl would be able to reject him. Or live with him because his smile can make anyone's heart race at an unnatural speed.

Sei- Ha-Hai!

(Albert dropped Sei at the Institute)

Sei – After so many days I was able to have so much fun (yawning)

I was just about to sleep when... Hawke-Sama came in my dream!

Sei- In reality,it was already difficult to have my heart beating at a normal face with your handsome face and calming voice !And now, even in my dreams I won't be spared!
