It was now Thursday and desperate for sleep, she tossed and turned in hopes that one way or another, well, one side or another she would fall into slumber. It never worked. So Kay got ready for her 9:00am shift at 3:00am. Quarter to 9 came upon the clock, basically as a sign of relief. She hopped up from her desk and walked downstairs, hoping Marco wasn't in the back smoking one of his cheap, retched cigarettes. Another thing about Kay we haven't really talked about is that she really hates, well despises smoking. She cares to much for other peoples and her own life to smoke, yet she won't complain when someone smokes around her, she doesn't like to kick up a fuss.

Surprisingly, Marco was... working? I don't think Kayla had ever seen Marco work a shift in his own shop. She walked into the back with a subtle raised eyebrow and plucked up the courage to ask 'How come your working a shift? Have i got my days mixed up again?' He replied 'No, no i was covering a night since Maya couldn't make her night shift last night.' Kayla nodded.

Maya, where to start with Maya. In the years Kayla has worked at the liquor store, she was worked with Maya a whopping 3, maybe 4 times, all due to to the fact that, well, Maya never turns up to work. Kayla and Chris always seemed to cover her shifts. Ah yes, Chris, we haven't talked about him yet. Chris, handsome chap, kind, has a sense of humour but that's all through small talk. Whenever we see Chris, it's because Kayla is late or early. Kay and Chris have never had the chance to work together,
because they are always filling in for maya. This Thursday wasn't as busy as the others, but it gave Kayla the chance to look at subway times to Queens for her interview, which is in 8 days so she has them 8 days to prepare herself. That should be enough time... Hopefully.

Speaking of the devil, Chris walked in. 'Chris, hey, i was just packing up, what time are you working till?' Kayla welcomed. Replying to Kayla, Chris greeted 'What's up Kay, oh and i think i'm working a 6-12 and then it's... maya.'  Kayla giggled 'more like Marco is working right after you.' Chris laughed, putting his bag upon the shop counter. 'Right i best be heading up, enjoy your shift Chris.' Kay smiled. Chris began to smile as he said 'See you round Kay.'

Opening her closet door, pulling apart her outfits trying to find an outfit for her interview.  She pulled out a pantsuit and sighed 'nope' as she threw the outfit behind her. Next, was a black skirt and a white pullover 'ew' she wrenched as it got launched into a cabinet not to far behind her. Finally, she pulled a pair of black flared pants, a white ruffled pullover and a blazer as she sighed 'this'll have to do.'
