~

You took a quick glimpse from your room before deciding to step out with the greatest hesitation.

You exhaled deeply sensing that no one were around..

As you went past the athenium you were horrified to see Loki sprawled out on a chair boredly flipping through a magazine like he were waiting for you.

Scratch that; like he were guarding the hall so you couldn't get past.

Wasn't he supposed to be at a dinner?!

His violet eyes flickered your way as a mischievous look grew on his face.

"You haven't been avoiding me now have you y/n?" His green locks fluttered to the side as he tilted his head.

You faltered for he could practically read your mind at this point. He made you nervous beyond words.

"Not at all. I've just been.. feeling ill." You lied looking away for you were a terrible liar.

It always made you uncomfortable being untruthful.. It went against your ways as a goddess.

He was quiet while he rose to his feet tossing the book aside as he walked right up to you. He wore his usual leathery attire that exposed part of his chest.

His height alone had you feeling inferior as he towered over you with a mischievous smirk.

You grew nervous as he brought his hand to your forehead and leaned in dangerously close.

The scent of his unusual cologne filled your nose.

"You don't feel like you have a fever dear."

You shivered under his touch and tried not to look at him as he stared down at you with that malevolent gaze.

"So pure, she cannot even tell a lie" he smirked deviously.

Before his mood could shift another voice came.

"Leave her alone Loki" someone warned as you both turned to notice Thor.

Wasn't he also supposed to be at a dinner. What was with these two?

Loki grinned toward Thor raising his hands having been caught.

Looking to you once more he leaned in to whisper closely.

"Don't think you're off the hook with me missy" he slyly walked his fingers up your shoulder before leaving off.

You shivered. You could not determine his intent with you.. you felt both intrigued and frightened.

Thor watched him leave and silently looked your way before leaving off too.

You exhaled in relief. At least Thor looked out for you every now and again otherwise Loki would have ruined you twice over by now.

You released the air you'd been holding as you focused back on the gold archways lining these ancient halls.

At long last you could freely wander them again.
