A disaster nobody saw coming..

Chapter 2

It had a been a few months now since me and Nefario had our first date. We were now officially a couple, and thoroughly enjoyed each others company. Not a day would go by where I didn't miss his company on the off occasions we couldn't see eachother. It hurt like shit, but I had to cope. It wasn't easy to make me give in.

I hear my doorbell ring, followed by my father shouting up the stairs.
"Y/N, I think that's for you."
"Thanks, coming!"

I ran eagerly down the stairs, expecting to see my beloved Nefario, but instead, when I opened the door, the figure was the polar opposite. A tall, skinny man with a large nose. It was Lucy's Husband, Gru.

"Hey Felonius, what's up?"

"Y/N, it's serious, come with me, now"
His New Mexico accent was very apparent, but my brain was more focused on the sheer stress I felt from the words that fell from Felonius' mouth.

I rush out of my house, slamming the door, as I chase after Felonius who was speeding down my street.

"Hey, Wait up, my legs are killing me!" I cried out

"No time, now hurry."

I continue chasing after Felonius until we take a turn towards 'Minion Avenue' and finally reach the end of the street. What met my eyes then was something I was not prepared for at 9am.

I stop to see Lucy, my closest childhood friend, somebody I've known my entire life who's always been there for me, no matter my life choices, lying on the floor, unconscious.

"WHAT HAPPENED?"

"I'm not sure. One moment, Me and Lucy told the minions to watch the gorls, and that we were taking the dog for a walk. Next thing I know, she stumbles, and falls to the floor unconscious"

"Oh my god! Well... What do we do?!?!"

"Stop panicking, I'll call the ambulance" gru states, pulling his phone out from a pocket in his scarf of which I never knew existed.

"Hello, 911, what's your emergency?"

"Hello, It's quite urgent. Me and my Wife Lucy told our kids we were going to quickly walk our dog around the street and back, when all of a sudden, she collapsed. I have no idea how or why, but she's laying on the floor, completely unconscious."

"Oh my, that sounds quite serious. Okay, what's your location and name? We'll send out an ambulance team right away."

"My name is Felonious Gru, and we're located at the end of 'Minion Avenue'"

"Alright sir, well, we've sent out an ambulance team, they'll be with you shortly"

"Thank you, goodbye" I hear him say, before he hangs up and slides his phone back into the scarf pocket of which it came from.

"Well?" I ask him, eagerly awaiting good news

"They say it isn't sounding good, and they're dispatching an emergency team immediately"

"I see"

-Timeskip-

Those next 10 minutes were spent in a long, award winning silence, with both me and Gru stood either side of Lucy's unconscious body, anxiously and desperately awaiting the sound of the ambulance arriving at the destination.

Once they arrived, both me and Gru were somewhat relieved, though little did we know, we shouldn't have been..
