"Why is Conner still following Starry and I around?" I asked. Starry got out from under the desk and was in a hug with Lex. Axl is standing next to me holding my hand. Three of us still have our knives in our sleeves while Starry plays with one of the rings on Lex's hand.

"I've already spoken to him and he said it's nothing." That's the same thing Mrs. Andrews said when she spoke to him. He's not here today. The one day the four of us are here, he's not here.

"That's not the vibe he's giving off at all." Starry whispered.

"We would go up to him ourselves and tell him to back off the girls-" Lex started.

"But we know his hands aren't clean. Not saying that any of ours are but he's got more than one type of blood on him." Axl finished.

"So if one of us was to go up to him, alone, or if Starry and I went up to him to ask-" I started and suddenly got goosebumps. Axl pulled me closer as if we were out in the biting cold.

"We would have a chance, knowing Sky's history." Starry stumbled over her words and Lex pulled her closer clearly trying to do the same thing Axl is for me.

"He has no mercy. He will kill you like he did the others. No matter your history, I can tell you need the boys there. You may be feared but you have your own struggles." Mrs. Davis said ever so softly I wouldn't have caught it if one of us had made any noise.

"You don't know us. Sky can turn everything off and become just like that. I just make the plans and sometimes hurt them emotionally and mentally but I could never be like them." Lex pulled Starry closer when her voice broke apart and looked ready to kill Mrs. Davis.

"Look I don't know who you are-" he started.

"And we don't really care-" Axl chimed in, pulling me closer.

"Or where you come from-" Lex took a step forward.

"Nor how dangerous you are-" Axl pulled out his knife.

"You hurt the girls-" Lex carefully moved Starry behind him.

"You're dealing with us-" I stepped behind Axl as he spun his knife.

"And a heartless Sky-" Lex pulled his knife out.

"Vengeful Starry too." Axl smiled. I grabbed Starry's hand and pulled out my knife.

"Be careful what you say next. You've upset them all now." Mrs. Andrews' eyes kept darting between the four of us and Mrs. Davis.

"Now be kind and answer my question." I spun my knife around with ease and I can tell Starry is thinking of a few ways to hurt her.

"Okay, okay. I'll tell you." She took a deep breath and played with her hands.

"Talk." Axl spoke. Eyes burning with fire.

"Okay he knows he messed up and he's trying to get you back but you're never alone and when you are, you look ready to kill?" She looked down and seemed to be questioning herself.

"Is that what he said?" Lex asked, pulling Starry back to him.

"From what I remember, yes." She looked almost ashamed to be sitting in the room with us.

"You're scared of him aren't you?" I asked, taking a step forward. Starry grabbed my arm but Lex pulled her back and into his arms.

"Axl?" Lex asked. I'm not sure what happened but all of a sudden he was next to me holding my hand. I handed him my knife and sat down next to Mrs. Davis.

"We're not the first ones, are we?"
