Did you know that the colour white is connected to peace? White represents mainly positive values such as purity, balance or innocence. It also makes us think of the calm, peace and serenity. It provides light and gives a fresh feeling. And maybe that is why the Moon Goddess appears as a white wolf?

Well, the pack I was born in probably has some legends about it, but I can't remember them. But the only one that has ever seen the Moon Goddess is Aegeus, aka her lover. At least that is what history has told us. Sometimes I just wonder if I should give up my faith and believes in her. The only thing I can remember from my pack is how my parents look like. My mother has long blonde hair with big brown eyes, and my dad has brown curly hair with blue gentle eyes. I don't know if they are still alive, but I hope so. When I was 5 years old I was abducted to that hell hole of a place.

What the Black haw pack has done to me over the years are disgusting and inhumane. The leader of this pack is Akkeon, he is tall and has a scar that goes from his left eye to the right side of his chin. He has dark brown hair and grey eyes. This is the description of a monster and the members of his pack isn't any better. They have done everything to try to break my mind. He wants me to be his little puppet that only he can control and is obsessed about us being mates (which we thankfully aren't).

They started torturing me just as I got here and it remotely got worse as I got older.  I've been through mental abuse and any kind of abuse you may know of. They put vervain and wolfsbane in my body to paralyse me if I tried to escape, but not enough to kill me. I would just lay there on the cold cement ground in my own vomit and blood, not being able to move. They did this for years, until I finally escaped.

You see, I learned to cooperate some ways just to learn how to get out of here. And by cooperation, I mean I wouldn't always fight against them. Over the years they trained me to be a perfect killing machine, they even taught me different languages, the knowledge of herbs and survival. I mean- if you want to keep someone restrained and hostage, why teach them this? Either way I'm happy they did, because everything they taught me helped me get out of here

And now I'm running as fast as I can. The adrenaline is rushing through my veins and bubbles of joy is bolting around my body when I feel the warm grass under my feet. I don't know how long I kept on running, but long enough to pass out from weariness. When I woke up I saw the warm sun shining through the large trees and birds chirping. But suddenly I heard growling and maybe not just one at a time, but a dozen.

I pulled my face downwards from the sky and met the gaze of several large wolves. Right away I was petrified if it was Akkeon's men, but their sent wasn't familiar. Luckily, I had hidden my scent before I ran away so they couldn't track me, but I still wouldn't show it to anyone. I lifted myself up slowly and one of the wolves approached me. He was bigger than the others and had black fur, right away I knew he was the alpha or at least a leader. I could feel his gaze all over me and noticed how his eyes stopped each time when he saw my scars. Suddenly I heard bones cracking and noticed that he changed into his human self.

"Who are you?" he asked me demanding. I waited for a second before I answered "My name is Kayda" my voice was dry because of dehydration after all the running. "You have arrived at the territory to the Black River Pack and intruders are not welcome" his voice was rough. And I get it, all he wanted was his pack to be safe. "I'm not here to cause anyone harm. Honestly, I don't even know where I am, so I will-" I couldn't finish the sentence before I started feeling the vervain that had been showed down my throat before I escaped. I probably didn't notice the pain until now because of all the adrenaline.

My body got heavier and I fell to my knees holding my arm around my stomach. I wanted to throw up, but I refused. I looked upon the face of the man I had just spoken to, but suddenly I saw two of him and everything started to spin. I could feel someone picking me up from the ground and then everything turned black.

I woke up in a room filled with light and voices. As I opened my eyes I could feel them staring at me. I was now filles with panic if Akkeon had caught me.
I could still feel the vervain in my body. I wonder how long I was mocked out?
I noticed a woman approaching me with a soft voice "you have nothing to be afraid of dear, you're safe" she was beautiful with dark brown hair, and blue eyes. She had a beauty mark right above the left side of her mouth, and a tribal tattoo on her right shoulder. She wore a white strapped singlet and a pair of blue jeans. she introduced herself as Carmen Willborne, and the man behind her was her mate, Mark.

I tried to be polite and introduce myself as well, but she already knew. Or, the whole pack knew. "Can you walk? I would love to show you around here" she said. "Yeah sure, that'd be nice." I smiled back to her as I stood up.

She showed me around the packhouse, which was huge itself, but when we were about to step a foot outside, she hesitated. She looked down to me and said "a year ago this pack was infiltrated with roughes, we can't catch your scent and that does the alpha and the rest of the pack suspicions and scared. So, if anyone gives you looks or snarls, you know why" she gave me a little smile before we headed out.

I want to show them, but I can't. It's for their safety... and mine.

"This pack is one of the largest in South America. We are about 16 000 members here." She looked at me and grinned. I shook it off with a laughter. But then I noticed something. A smell. It was like a mix of sandalwood and fire, and it was addictive.

I stopped and asked Carmen if she could scene it to, because I don't know what the hell this was. It even affected my body and it almost scared me for a second. "What did you just say?" she said so fast I could barely catch it. "I said... what is that scent and why the hell is it affecting me?" this started to get annoying, because she stood dead in her tracks and looked me in the eyes, clearly, shocked.

She was about to say something, but then we suddenly heard shouting. "A rouge! Look, over there with Carmen!" I turned around and by the next second one of the pack members had shifted and aimed for me. I was suddenly laying on the ground, with a large paw crushing my chest while growling at me. Carmen started yelling and I could feel something weird happen. You know, you suck at avoiding things coming at you. What in the hell was that?

The pressure on my chest lightened and I could finally breathe again. Apparently, Carmen had dragged this wolf by its tail and threw him 10 feet away. And then I heard it again. Damn she's good. By now I thought I was turning crazy. My name is Hera, and I'm your wolf.

Hi again! I'm sorry if this chapther was short as well, i had to redo everything because it didn't feel right, but I'm back on track now!

Bjørg
