The little convo in my head was disrupted when Carmen sat down and checked if I was alright. But before she said anything, she noticed something. "Kayda, your eyes..." she looked worried, and I tilted my head in confusion.

"I need to talk to you, and that fast. Let's go inside for a minute" I nodded in agreement and followed after her inside. I could hear muffled voices behind me as we walked inside.

We got into the room I woke up in. Carmen looked me dead in the eyes and said "stay here, I need to get someone." She looked at me still, and I nodded as an answer.

It didn't take long before she came back, and had an old lady with her. The old lady had two braids and was native. The elder lady gasped when she took her eyes on me.

"My name is Sue, what is your name little one?" she said with a soft voice. "My name is Kayda" I looked at Carmen to understand the situation, but didn't get any clues.

Suddenly I felt weird again. I was angry for a second, and then all these emotions came over me at once. What the hell is happening? I thought for myself. We are changing. Because we felt threatened by him, we had to wait for this moment.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I said out loud, meaning not to. The two women in the room looked odd at me. "What do you mean Kayda?" Sue asked me. "I have this voice in my head, now I'm moody and I don't know why." I paused for a second and looked at Carmen, breaking the eye contact with Sue.

"She told me her name and said she is my wolf. This has never happened before" I said frustrated to both of them. Carmen looked at Sue, they both looked either frightened or in shock, again.

"Kayda, how old are you?" Sue asked carefully. "I'm not sure, maybe 17... what is todays date?" The silence felt longer than it was. "You don—" Carmen was interrupted before Sue said "its May 1st" now her head was turned to me again.

"Okay, then I'm still 17, but I turn 18 in 4 months if I remember correct" this was embarrassing, but I still had my reason. Like, who celebrates their prisoner's birthday?

"You should have shifted already. Why hasn't it occurred?" Sue asked me, and she sounded worried. "What do you mean Sue? This is a normal age for wolves to change" Carmen said looking confused. Sue turned around and looked at Carmen for a second before turning her head to me again "Not for her, she is an alphas firstborn." She paused for a second before continuing

"Ducain am I right? Your parent were the alpha and Luna to the Eclipse pack, but after your abduction they were all devastated. Your parents couldn't take it. Losing almost 1000 members after the attack, and their daughter." I felt my heart sink in my chest. "Please tell me they are still alive? And what bout the rest of my parents pack?" Now I was struggling with my breath. Kayda calm down, you're almost having a panic attack.

Sue looked at me as she said "your parents are alive, but they moved further away because of the guilt they had in their hearts. And the rest of your pack members are here, they joined our pack 11 years ago" she paused "1 year after the attack"

That information hit me like a rock. How far away could they be? And my parents pack is here, but will they recognize me?

Sue looked at me waiting for an answer, but I didn't know what to say...

"I want to see them, the rest of my parents former pack that lives here." I said with an blank expression.

"Of course you can. Some are scattered around the area, but most of them kept each other near and lives in an area not far away within the pack." I could see Sue smile a little.

I nodded in a response to her answer. She turned herself around still not breaking the eye contact. "Are you ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be"
