Wrath

A dark chamber. Light unable to exit or escape its dark walls, wet and cold. A young girl kneeled in the darkness, the hard stone pressed against her knees, worn from the pressure and pain. Her mind was clear and focusing on the dark that enveloped her whole.

"Wrath destroys."

"It kills."

"It is pain."

With the crack of a chain, a sound rippled through the dark, a phantom rushed through the blackness. Its teeth red with blood and body dripping like a dark miasma. It set its sights on the girl like a predator focusing on prey.

"Ira."

"The rage within the self."

The creature sprung forward through the darkness like a force of nature all its own.

"Wrath breaks."

"Wrath takes."

Only to be met with a greater force beyond nature itself. The phantom drifted into blackness, its time at an end as the foot of the girl found its way to the creature's chest. She opened her lips for a mere moment, her monotone voice echoed through the chamber.

"But—Wrath is strength itself."

The girl grit her teeth as a symbol along the sole of her foot dissipated with the sizzle of fire being put out with the rushing waves of calm in her mind.

A flicker of light, an azure flame burned from the center of the chamber to reveal a crowd to watch the spectacle. Their crimson eyes shimmered as they watched her closely and she also understood the look, yet she focused on the one shrouded in darkness.

"Strength.... Strength is the only thing I can trust."

The figure turned away, the crimson of his eyes reflected in her own, only to disappear. She let out a blood-curdling scream, one not of fear, nor pain, but instead that of hatred and violent fury. reiju cracked the stone beneath her worn feet as she rushed towards him, only to be stopped, feeling the grip of a guard as he seized her arm. The thought reverberated in her mind.

Wrath.

Azure Flames burst from where the guard seized her, a pain to shatter the mind filled the girl's head as she watched the guard's hand become blanketed in the fire. She watched with cold eyes as he stumbled back in agony at the pain she caused, only for a smirk to grow on her face.

The chambers were desolate. Those within the crowd departed in the chaos. The girl tilted her head from side to side, allowing an unsettling crack to fill the chamber as guards surrounded her carefully. She put a finger into the air, a rude gesture as she spoke once again, her voice dead, yet animistic.

"If you really want to be my dance partner, then come on, just know I won't be liable for what happens to you if you decide to."

Several of the guards hesitated before one ran towards her. No contact was made with his attack. At the realization that he struck empty air, he scanned for the girl who stood at the center of the chamber.

"Not looking good for you all, if this is the best you can all do," the girl said as she motioned over to the group of guards.

More guards gathered in the chamber. The obsidian black armor with crimson engraved within were all too familiar. Her eyes flashed as twin blurs rushed to her. It was like a flash as one of the two felt their skull collide with the stone floor. His mask he bore, warped from the force of the blow.

The other froze. His eyes shifted to his comrade's body on the ground as the girl stood over his battered corpse. The second their eyes met; the guard felt the impact of a knee deep within his gut as he was blasted back deep into a wall from the strike.

More guards rushed to confront the girl, each holding a blade in hand. The girl continued to maneuver around each of the attacks, dispatching each of them as if in a dance. The pain she felt disappeared for the moment as her mind went wild.

"So, this is who I have to tame."

A man in black took a step forward, descending into the darkness. All that remained of the previous conflict were bodies and broken blades. His green eyes looked at the guards, or rather what he saw as failures with disdain.

The girl stared at the roof of the arena while high it seemed in reach. She shifted her gaze towards the man and offered no response, only mouthing something to herself. The man discarded his cloak to reveal a green and black combat uniform. "Nothing to say? Well, that's all right. You've already struggled enough anyway, ma fleur."

The warrior's hand shifted in form, his nails grew longer and hair grew until it looked similar to that of a bear's hand. The girl slowly approached the man. Her eyes were blank as she continued forward.

"Oh, so you're approaching me?"

The girl continued forward, spitting out the blood in her mouth from her fight. Her eyes flared as she watched the man closely. An unstoppable force. Sweat dripped from the man's brow as he wavered.

"Even though you have yet to even land a strike on me. You think you'll dispatch of me like how you did these pitiful guards... Unless they really are true that broken dolls don't make for good playthings."

At that moment, the girl disappeared before the man's eyes, nowhere to be found. The second battle had begun as the man remained in the same spot; his calculating eyes focused on his surroundings.

A sound, that of a stone being dropped, alerted him as he shifted himself to the side, dodging the attack. The girl flew past him as she dropped to the ground, skidding some ways away from him. Her hands bled from the impact, but she kept focused on her target. She was breathless as she took a minute to gather herself.

"Who said you could take a break? You had so much to say earlier." The man said.

The warrior appeared behind her, his hand returned to its previous state, and green markings enveloped his hand. The girl's eyes widened. The blow was quick as she felt her body plunge into the ground. Blood filled her mouth and the sides of her face were bloodied and laid inside of a crater.

"Quite the brand of Curse Abilities you Wrath Users hold while they're powerful. They're a little too...primitive don't you think." the man said, only to feel the burn seconds later. "The recoil adds to that even more."

The man walked towards the girl, a grin spread on his face, one that felt almost as if he'd received a treasure that he'd been denied. The girl laid on the ground. She could feel nothing, her vision blurry. He lifted her chin up so their eyes met and chuckled to himself.

"What a waste. He was right to throw a broken doll like you out. Shame that you kept those powers of yours."

A True incantation.

Curse Series

The main rose a brow, as if annoyed at her presence.

"What are you babbling about now? I really might have broken Lord Wrath's toy, after all. One of these guards can take the fall," the man said, readying his hand. This time it grew sharp, his nails grew and veins swelled. His eyes were poised and his bloodlust had filled the entire arena.

Ira

"It was fun, la nana, but orders are orders, Adieus."

It was like lightning. The man felt a sharp pain, a truck colliding directly with his jaw. Left in a daze, he found himself in the air, flying through the roof of the chamber. Glass crashed towards the ground and the girl stood up, her arm littered with crimson markings and her fists smoking. Symbols appeared along her legs as she jumped to pursue the man.

"Who.... Who is this girl?" the man said as he grasped at the snow beneath him, leaving a trail of blood behind.

The girl followed, her hands sustaining the same markings from before. Her vision was still blurry, and the snowflakes flew around her. All feeling in her body was gone as she collapsed. She looked forward towards the corpse in front of her. The last sight she saw was the white surrounding her and the icy cold that she rested above.

"Damn this snow...."
