"Hey, don't people think you are annoying if you continue doing that?" A high school male student hears a female's voice talking to him, so he pauses at what she's doing and stops tapping his fingers against the window. His dull purple eyes move toward the voice, and he sees a girl wearing the same school uniform as him, except it is the girl's uniform.
She had long black hair with purple highlights. How she stands in front of him is in a cool manner, with her hands inside her jacket pocket as she leans against the door, though her face is looking at him without making any expression. She's just suddenly talking to him, even though this is the first time he's seen her before.
On the train, there are only a few people in this subway: him, her, and the other 10 people. But they are nowhere near them right now. After all, it's already late afternoon, and he's finally gotten out of school.
"So?" She tilted her head. "Are you going to answer my question?" She meant the question earlier.
The male student just stared at her for a few seconds before looking outside the window.
And this is the first time he has ever opened his mouth. "I don't care if anyone thinks of me." He spoke out. "Annoying or what, I never care about anyone because all I want to do is make music." That's all he said to her.
And this conversation interests her more.
"Do you like music?" The mysterious girl asks him more questions, much to the man's dismay.
Though he tried to think about her question. Do you like music?
Doeses he like music? He doesn't remember why he likedd music in the first place. He doesn't understand music,, but somehow he can writee music. Why did he write so so many songs? But there's no one willing to listen to to his song. After all, everyone only cares about famous celebrities. There is no one interested in a nobody.
No, that's not it.
"I don't remember." After a few minutes of thinking, he had no good answer. Looking back at her, he felt like he wanted to talk more. "To be honest, I don't like music, but at the same time, I don't dislike it. It's a strange answer, but for some reasons, I want to make my own songs. I don't understand these feelings at all." He then closed his mouth and just stared at the mysterious girl, waiting for her response.
No matter how long, he waits for her response, even though his stop has already passed. One by one, passengers left the train, and the only ones left were them.
He and the mysterious girl are left alone while staring at each other.
They just met,, but he wanted to talk with her more. It's almost like talking with an old friend,, even though they don't know each other's's names yet.
Finally, she made a movement. Her lips curled up, making a sad smile. Her purple eyes are looking at him with that sad smile.
"I don't understand you at all." He said.
"But I understand you." She stated.
What does she mean by that?
He noticed that she took her hand out of her pocket and starteded to caress his cheek.
"You can't understand anything,, but I understand you. Right now, you feel frustrated that you can't remember something important." She steppedped closer to him as she talkeded to me with her hand still on his cheek. "This is because that person's fault for taking your emotions away. Your trauma, your passion, your sadness, your frustrations, your anger, your happiness,, and your dream are taken away from you by that person who forced you to be here for anyone's sake." She started frowning, showing her anger at someone who didn't know what she was talking about.
Who is that person? That was what he wanted to ask,, but he chose to be silent.
"That person took everything from you,, and I'll never forgive her." Her arms wrapped around him,, and he felt the warmth from her.
Weird, he thought.
What is this girl talking about?
He still doesesn't understand.
His everything?
His emotions?
His dream?
Does he have a dream?
Why can't he remember something important to him?
"I am you only." Her voice is quiet,, but he can hear it when her voice is near his ears. "And no one one else but you."
"Do you remember your name?"
His name?
Does he have a name?
Why didn't he remember his own name?
It's easy to remember,, yet he forgets that no one ever called out his name.
But a first name is enough, right?
"Gaku...."
The mysterious girl smiled in relief.
"That's right. That's your name. Otonomiya Gaku is your full name. Please remember that ."
The young man is now named Otonomiya Gaku. He remembers his name now, but why doesn't he remember his own name in the first place?
The girl started to release him from the hug. Her hands were on his shoulders as she looked at him with determination in her eyes.
"I will bring everything back to you."
I will save you from this world.
A/N: Chapter 0.5 is the end, and this chapter is the prologue chapter. To be honest, this chapter seems boring, but I don't want to make an impact in the prologue because I have plans to do that in the next chapter. So look forward to that!
Sing No Song is an original story, but there are some copies in the anime and games. However, this is because I don't have a good naming sense, so I decided to just use the names as they are, but please don't compare them with the anime or games because I just took inspiration from them, okay?
Sorry if I am late to update this book because the story is work in progress since it have been rewriting a lot of time that I couldn't be able to publish it until now. So that's why I hope you guys be patient with me in this one. I am still planning on how the story goes even though I should thought of that before but I am busy with the plot and other things involved in the story.
Until then, I will work hard.
See you in next chapter!
