Percy's pov:

I wasn't very tiered after 5 days of walking, with 1 hour in total of rest. But days in hell run differently than above. I sighed,

"we are close, everyone," I said. Piper and Leo nearly fell over in relief. I smiled a little. Athena nodded in acknowledgment and looked forward.

"In fact, I can already see it," she said. Jason pumped his fists up in the air. Piper giggled and kissed him on the cheek making him kiss her back. I rolled my eyes and jogged forward,

"we're close, how dangerous is it, exactly?" I asked,

"very. There will be monsters which you have never met...uh, in your demigod life. Also, don't trust the floor, air and surroundings. Everything can be deadly," Athena replied. It was enough to get the rest of my friends stop and pale. I sighed again and kept walking in a steady pace. Just a few months ago I was in New York City, living with Gabe, my step-father. He was a terrible stepfather, but he taught me to be mature. Smiling wasn't easy at camp, especially when I feared to be hurt again. After all these years, they eventually did. I was the happiest person in the world. I had a girlfriend, friends, love, family...everything I'd ever want to have. Now, I have little friends. But I know they're real.

"You ok?" Thalia asked gently, I nodded,

"yeah. Via and the Maya hunters should be in the black area of Tartarus. The other Synaisthímata will be there as well. Where is End?" I asked,

"she's imprisoned personally by Chaos in the void. But it won't be as dangerous. If we succeed," Athena started,

"you'll be unstoppable. You'll get to End -- easy peasy!" Thalia interrupted. Athena gave a small smiled and shook her head, chuckling. I smiled,

"good to know. What about the Olympians? And -- wait, is the whole story of you turning into a Pine Tree true?" I asked, a idea popping in my mind,

"The Olympians are now lead by the disgrace daughter of myself, Annabeth," Athena growled, her eyes burning with rage,

"and for your other question, no, it's not true. I refused to obey Zeus and Hera to keep your identity secret. I was, after all, 12. So he chased Luke, Annabeth, Grover and I to Camp. What I didn't know, was that he hated me for thinking of his decisions as unwise and moronic, so he 'saved' me and turned me into a tree, even though I would've never died if a Apollo demigod would've come up to me within 30 minutes," she sighed, "that's why I joined the hunters. I hated Zeus. Artemis knew what happened, and gave me a proposition to join the hunters."

"oh, that's evil," Leo said, "good things we're not on their side now," I laughed a little and looked up. The air was getting darker,

"we're nearing our destination," I announced,

"took a while," Jason yawned, I laughed,

"we're finding the other Synaisthímata today, Jace," I smiled, "is there even a prophecy about this?" I asked, remembering the many prophecies I got for every single quest I got.

"technically, the fates don't control you, but since we're talking about the future, the original prophecy aligns with this whole situation." Athena said,

"the prophecy, hm, uh, didn't it go like

The beings of the first era,

with the defeat of the Terra,

shall rise with the help of a hero,

which was left at the number zero,

used by the mind to manipulate,

many demigods will be swayed,

if you can bring the hero back,

you will only need to attack." Thalia recited,

"yes, Thalia," Athena said, "the being of the first era are (say that 10 times quickly,) the Synaisthímata are the beings of the first era. You are the hero, so they will rise with your help. If they can get you back on their side forcefully or by choice, then they can defeat the other Synaisthímata, and most likely you as well," she continued thoughtfully.

"Father!" I heard a shout. I turned around, remembering I was now a male, not a female,

"Via," I acknowledged and hugged her.

"Lady Via," Athena bowed. The others followed her example,

"Hello Athena, it's been too long," she said and reached out her hand to help her up, "no need to bow. Our friendship isn't based on fear and power,"

"Yes, I know, it's been a while, and you have been freed, luckily. Congrats, these are the only demigods whom chose to side with Percy and the Synaisthímata. Introduce yourselves," Athena said,

"Piper McLean, 'daughter' of Aphrodite," Piper bowed,

"Jason Grace, sister of --" Jason bowed and stood up,

"Thalia Grace. Children of Jupiter and Zeus," Thalia continued bowing a little,

"Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus," Leo grinned, kneeled and stood up,

"Reyna, daughter of Bellona," Reyna bowed, nodding.

"Percy," I introduced with a smile. Via laughed,

"let's get going. I have scouted the area with Lady Eirene and Amaru," Via said, "we have found 4 areas where the Synaisthímata have been locked up. Luckily, we also found the path to the Void. Amaru sketched out a map,"

"very good," I nodded with a smile. We stepped into the one, black area. The ground turned into a nearly black purple within millimeters. The trees seemed burned, like there was a wildfire.

"There is a possibility we're wrong, but I sensed my brothers and sisters, Thymos, Prothesis and Estychia in the closest tomb," she trailed off,

"nice to know," Athena said, "we've got the location on a few Synaisthímata, maybe more. They might know information about the others. Or not, but they'll be a valuable asset and will help Percy regain all his memories."

"Yes, where are you guys all staying together?" Reyna piped up,

"we have consulted a camp in the safest area. Without Eirene or myself, the Maya hunters are basically defenseless against any crawling creature. The more are freed, the more safer we are in this hell hole," Via answered, her eyes burning with hatred, "I want to destroy one of the gods,"

"not very surprising for a Synaisthímata of Violence," I laughed. She smiled and slapped my arm playfully,

"whatever," she rolled her eyes, "camp's only a few minutes away." She led the way cautiously through the 'burned' woods. Dead, black leaves laid on the floor.

"Lady Via's back!"I heard a male call, I looked around and saw a magnificent camp made of tipis.  Amaru smiled acknowledgingly to the other people behind me,

"wow," I gasped out,

"not bad, huh?" Eirene said, walking up to us, "when are we going on our hunt for Synaisthímata caves?"

"we'll start today. The closest one, Via, didn't you say there were a few Synaisthímata there?" I asked. She nodded in response, "we'll start there then,"

"great thinking," Athena commented, Reyna and Via said 'yeah' synchronized. Then bump-fisted together. I laughed. They'll definitely get along.

"how far is the cave away?" I asked,

"10 minutes away," Via answered, "Amaru! Get a few soldiers ready for traveling!" she shouted. I smiled as she led us all to a tipi of our own.
