"I couldn't be royal. It's like living in a supersonic goldfish bowl." ~Ozzy Osbourne

"Will you run away with me?"

Luce freezes at the spot, dress in one hand while the other was at the doorknob. Slowly, she looks at the young prince. "What?" She whispers, as if voicing too loudly might cause someone to overhear, perhaps the intruder Jonathan was talking about.

Jonathan raises his brows and smiles. "Will you run away with me?" He repeats, playing along and whispering. Luce swallows and takes slow steps back from the door, eyeing her best friend cautiously.

"What do you mean?" she questions. Jonathan rolls his eyes and stands up.

"I know you aren't retarded, princess." He speaks of the insult lightly, causing the princess to almost gasp at the 'forbidden' word. It was very, savage like, as one would say, almost rarely heard. "Let's sneak out, explore! It would be fun, I assure you." He adds when she doesn't respond.

That seems to shake the princess out of her stupor.

"I am certain that, that idea is not good." She started, incredulous to the bizarre plan the prince just offered. "The guards, there's-- there's no way to get pass them."

Jonathan claps both his hands. "Ah! So you are willing to come, it's just the guards that are holding you back, yes?" His tone is giddy, everything about him shouts childish right now, and everything about the ridiculous plan says trouble.

"I-- that's not what I meant!" Her cheeks flare. Every princess is disciplined to have proper attitude, to think maturely about decisions, to not be fazed and to disregard of redundant means.

But why is it that even though she knows her reasoning is right, why can't she strip the strong urge to forget all the castle-schooled lessons and escape?

Of course I want to come. Something exciting would be happening. Away from the castle, even. A chance to finally explore the normal world freely. It was the idea of getting caught that shook her.

There were a few 'what if's she didn't want to come to reality.

"Besides, wouldn't Kingdom Eticlya be in outrage when they accuse our realm of stashing you?" Luce exclaims. Jonathan waves a dismissive hand in the air, strolling past the princess as he took the stained dress from her hands. "No worries. We'll be back, we're not really disappearing for eternity, Luce. Besides, I have a plan that could get us out of the castle surely unnoticed."

This earned him a curious look from the girl, Is he going to show me how he creeps into the castle? She slowly follows him outside of the room.

Along the way they managed to pass by Flaniti, who hissed when she saw Jonathan, who, in turn, stuck his tongue out. He's so childish sometimes--most of the time. Luce strokes her soft fur as the feline lets out a rumbling purr.

He goes to her vanity and picks up the bell. Ringing it twice. A maid arrives and curtsies before Jonathan hands her the stained dress with a charming smile, causing the maid in question to blush. "Can you please take care of this?"

The maid nods and in a flurry, takes the dress. "Yes, Your Highness!" She says as she rushes out of the room.

Luce thwacked her best friend. "Don't flirt with my staff." She says, huffing in indignation. The prince chuckles and swivels around, looking at the princess, "I'm not doing anything, they simply find me charming."
