"In the past, people were born royal. Nowadays, royalty comes from what you do." ~Gianni Versace

Luce watches as Jonathan continues to bust open each and every lock of a stable, "What are you doing?" Luce asks, frozen in uncertainty, as Jonathan throws her a smile, "Causing an uproar." He replies, "Mostly for their distraction." he refers to the guards.
Jonathan beckons her over. She stiffly obliges, walking turning into a steady jog as the thundering footsteps get louder. They both reach the end of the section, opening the last stable which contained a white Andalusian horse. The prince lets out a low whistle, "She's beautiful." He comments, a hand coming up to stroke her mane. Luce narrows her emerald eyes, "How do you know it's a she?" She mumbles as Jonathan leads the horse out. It obediently follows, obviously trained.
Jonathan finds one set of gear left behind laying by the stocks of hay and it only takes a few seconds to get the gear carefully placed on the horse, once he's done the guards are already outside and the prince is sitted on the horse, holding his hand out to help Luce up.
Luce looks at the hand and hesitates. "Maybe I could--"
"Do you trust me, princess?" He asks and Luce looks up at him in bewilderment, "Excuse me? Jonathan there's no time for--" the princess was cut off, yet again. "I need a specific answer to my question." He interrupts.
The princess frowns, being questioned if you trust your best friend is like questioning if you love your parents. Of course Luce trusts the prince, but asking it in the middle of a chase is not the ideal idea right now. Luce grits her teeth, "Of course I do." She hisses out, glaring at Jonathan. The young adolescence smiles genuinely, "Then I suppose you trust me enough to join me." He assures, hand still out.
Reluctantly, Luce relaxes her glare and takes it as Jonathan effortlessly pulls her up and she sits, legs dangling together on one side, behind him, "Also, I advise you to hang onto my abdominal muscles." He advises with his usual smirk.
Luce rolls her eyes and wraps her arms around her counter part's torso as Jonathan pulls on the reins, the horse neighs and gallops towards the main gates. Luce faintly yelps, unused to bouncing on top of a speeding horse. There's a lot of unexpected firsts for me happening tonight, I observe.
The guards move out of the way, face set to a solid disbelief and shock, "Your Majesties!" One says. Jonathan firmly holds the reins, ready to whip it once more and speed off but holds the reins back when he hears the worrisome guard's voice.
He faces the confused guard's face from atop the horse, "Assure me that you pass on to the King and Queen that I say to let us be for now, we will come back soon."
The guard stutters, surely having questions and objections unsaid, but unable to disobey, settles with, "Yes, Your Highness." as the other guards momentarily stop hustling the other horses and bows along with the guard.
Luce sits awestruck as Jonathan nods at them and signals for the guards to open the main gates. Mother and Father, I hope they understand.
The humongous black exotic gates slowly open as guards pull them in opposite directions. The prince whips the reins once again and instructs the horse past the gates and to the open grass field, above them, an evening sky. Stars the only thing guiding their way. This is insane, I didn't think we would actually make it this far.
After a few moments that only consisted of Jonathan laughing at how they managed to get away and Luce admiring the outside beauty did they decide to speak.
