When I woke up I was leaning on something and listening to an announcement about landing soon by one of the flight attendant in my headphones. The "something" I was leaning on turned out to be a "someone". Brian. He seemed okay with being my pillow but I was so embarrassed!

"Morning princess. Sleep well?" He really didn't care at all? I'm a stranger for Pete's sake! I couldn't have been more red than I was then. I've never let anything like this happen to me. At least to him it was no big deal. I still got off of him as quickly as possible.

"I-uh. Sorry about that."

"Nah. To tell you the truth, I really enjoyed it." He then winked at me and continued to smirk. What a jerk! He probably does this with every girl. How could I have not realized this before? As a response I just glared at him.

He stopped talking to me and when the time came we unbuckled and tried to get going. I wasn't tall enough to get my carry on out of the above compartment. My brother noticed and started walking over to help but Brian got to it first. My brother started walking faster as though he was going to clobber Brian for having the nerve to do that.

Since I'm not exactly a fan of violence I quickly thanked him and started walking away. This seemed to calm my brother down a lot... Thank goodness. As he turned around, I felt a hand tap my shoulder. "Yes?" It was none other than my now very good friend Brian, wanting something pointless I guess.

"I would uh... I think I'd like to see you again. If that's alright with you of course." Since when did a guy like him get nervous?

"We are going to the same university aren't we? I think we can wait til then... If that's alright with you." When did I get sassy? Oh well, I only said that because I'd have to stay in contact with this guy and the chances of us seeing each other on campus were little to none, just the way I'd like it to be.

"Oh, uh, alright i guess. See you then." Finally, he seemed done with our conversation. "You wouldn't happen to know your dorm house yet would you? Maybe I could help show you around... or something." It might just be me, or is he really trying to see me again?

"I do. I'll be living at house 4." He perked up a little bit and smiled. I guess I was clear to go. Perfect.

*************At the Dorm House*************

"I'm going to miss you so much. Please stay away from the parties and focus on grades first okay?" That can only be my mom. She's been saying goodbye to me for a good hour now. I've been hearing this for days before we left home and even now she hasn't gotten it out of her system.

Eventually I see her picking up her purse, so I walk over for one last hug. I really do love her. My brother looks like he zoned out too, but I gave him a giant hug anyways. He flinched but hugged back a lot harder than I was expecting.

"I'm really proud of you, you know. It won't be the same visiting home without you there kid." He said quietly. What? My brother is capable of emotions?

After they left I had the room all to myself... for about ten minutes. I got scared to death by a tall, skinny girl that practically bulldozed the door getting in. She must be my roommate. I'll see how this goes.

She didn't seem to notice me at first and started picking up her bags from the ground. Cursing to herself about gravity. This was going to be fun, I could tell. Only fun people yell at gravity.

When she realized I was there she got really red and started talking really, really fast. Trying to explain herself I guess. It was pretty funny and she actually seemed to be pretty nice.

"It's okay! Really! I couldn't figure the door out either haha. My name's Sam, Sam Delagreen. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you're my new roommate?" Might as well get done with the basics.

"Hi! Um, yeah, I am. At least I hope this is the right room. I'm Terra... Terra Thompson. Nice to meet you!" She said as she held her hand out at an odd angle from all the bags she was struggling to hold on to.

"Why don't you give me some of those and then we can talk?" She was starting to look as though she was going to fall any second.

"That actually sounds really perfect right about now."

"I thought as much." This couldn't get better.

After Terra somewhat organized her things, we decided to get out and get to know each other while exploring the city. The campus could wait til later.

Once we settled down in a Noodles and Co. it was time to bond.

She was into a lot of the same stuff I was into. Surprisingly enough. We liked basketball, psychology, medicine, messy buns, etc. I'm pretty proud of my rommate application abilities if I do say so myself.

We talked for a bit more until a certain someone walked into Noodles. It was none other than (cue dramatic music) Brian from the plane. That's peachy, here I thought I'd be able to avoid the flirts.

Terra must've noticed me going completely silent all of the sudden, because she straightened up and looked over to where I was hesitantly peeking over.

Brian was with a 4 or so cute guys and 3 girls. None of which were specifically clinging on to him. I don't want to admit this but that's quite a relief.

He looked around for an open table to fit all of the people in his group when his eyes stopped on me.

"O god." Terra just looks at me confused. Probably wondering how a guy like that would know a mess like me.

He says something quick to his friends and start walking over. "What's going on? Who is that?" Terra wants to know everything before something dramatic might happen.

He finally arrives. "Hey Sam! Small city I guess. What brings you to our fine Noodles establishment?" Why is he acting like we're old friends? I met him this morning!

"Hey Brian... Uh really, really small. Terra and I are just grabbing lunch for a quick sec. We were actually just leaving." I was the color of a fire truck. Could this get any worse? His friends were watching us for God's sake!

"Nice to meet you Terra, I'm Brian." Great. He turned his attention back to me. "You guys sure you don't want to join us for just a bit. We're having a little reunion."

"No that's all right we've got to go set up our room, but thanks." I went to grab my purse but it fell and everything fell out. Smooth Sam. At least there weren't pads in there or this would've taken quite a turn. I rushed to the floor to get everything back and leave as soon as possible.

Much to my surprise he started picking things up with me. I blushed even harder.

We finally finished and he handed me my phone. He was looking at me with something admirable in his eyes. Maybe he wasn't a jerk afterall?
