It was 10:00 by the time me and Arthur were standing in the front yard of Warrens house. "What are we doing here?" I asked a little befuddled. "Warren left something here intended for you. He knew he had to leave, but couldn't give it to you without you questioning him." Arthur answered. He led me to the back door and punched the window leaving a fist sized hole in the glass. Then he reached his hand through and opened the door. I was surprised by Arthur's actions and also a little impressed. The house was pitch black and I couldn't see a thing. It also didn't help that I've never been to his house before so I couldn't navigate my way around, if I even knew what we were looking for."Here" Arthur said as he grabbed my hand. His hand was surprisingly warm in mine. He turned a few corners and walked through a couple of doors until he finally stopped and let go of my hand. I heard the click of a lamp and all of a sudden the room was illuminated with the glow of a small light. "Why didn't you just do that before" I asked. Arthur smirked, his hand gently brushed against mine as he turned to face me sending a shock through my whole arm and answered. "Because the neighbors know they are out of town, if they saw lights on they would probably call the cops". "Oh" was all I could think to say. I noticed we were in a small bedroom standing by a desk. Arthur started rummaging through drawers and then held up a small box and handed it to me. Inside the box was a necklace with a silver heart. "It's a locket" Arthur said. I picked up the necklace and opened the little heart. Inside there was a small picture of me and Warren at the football game. Suddenly the gnawing hit me. I hadn't noticed it went away when I was with Arthur so now that it was back it hurt even worse."Della are you okay!" Arthur asked looking concerned. My face must've shown the hurt because now he was right beside me. "What? Oh, yeah I'm fine". I quickly closed the locket and tried to put it on. I couldn't quite get it through the loop and the lack of light wasn't helping. "Here, let me help you" Arthur said as he reach for the necklace. He swept my hair to rest on my shoulder and I felt his warm hands brush against the back of my neck. "There" he said softly while turning to face me. "We better get going before someone notices there's a hole in the window, " Arthur said with a wide grin on his face. I laughed as he turned the lamp off and took my hand again. We walked quietly through the house to the back door.
