Tyde and Blade

A/N: Thank you guys for being so patient. Work as been so crazy lately. We've been getting ready for deployment as well as transitioning to a new aircraft, so it's been a lot! Anyway, here is the long awaited call between us and the two boys!

River's POV

  "HIIIIII" A blonde yelled excitedly from the screen of my phone. 

Whatever the hell he's on, I want some..

  And as if Cirell read my mind, she looked at him with squinted eyes and said, "Oi! I want what you're on..what is it?"

  This made the two laugh. The four of us really hit it off, but something clicked between me and the two boys that made me excited as to where this was going to lead. The four of talked for about 30 minutes before exchanging snaps and agreeing to talk more tomorrow, as it was getting kinda late for us, and we had school in the morning. 

  After parting from the duty hut, Cirell and I walked to our rooms. She lived right down the hall from me, so it worked out perfectly. As we were walking up the stairs, Cirell was telling me all about her hometown and how much she misses home.

"I cannot wait to graduate so I can take transfer leave and see my mom." 

"Yeah," I said watching the ground as I walked. I'm uncoordinated as fuck...don't judge me. "I know what you mean. It feels like its been years." 

  I really did feel like it's been years, even though its only been a few months. The military does that to you, and I was just beginning to realize that. Days felt like weeks and weeks felt like months. It was absolutely awful. To be honest with you, I never actually saw myself joining the military. I always wanted to be a teacher; a history teacher to be exact. It was just something about the wars and the crimes against humanity that always kept me on my toes. Not to mention my hot ass history teacher junior year. 

  Ahh...Mr. Nelson...what a beautiful, beautiful man. I wonder if he's still teaching at my school..

"FELIX!!" Cirell shouted in my ear, pulling me from my daze.

"OW BITCH! THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR!" I yelled back, rubbing my now throbbing ear drum.

"You zoned out babe." She said looking concerned. "Are you okay? Do you need to talk?"

"I'm fine honey. Just got a little lost in my thoughts thinking about home and all, ya know?"

 She looked at me unconvincingly but nodded letting it go. Nothing gets passed the woman. A minute later we said our goodbyes and she dropped me off at my door, making sure to remind me that we were walking to the galley for breakfast in the morning. Groaning, I just nodded my head and entered my room. I didn't have a roommate, which I was seriously thankful for, but sometimes I wish I did. It gets lonely after a while, ya know? It's a constant cycle of waking up, going to class, and coming home -- not to mention the occasional PT session at 0400. But I was over it. I wanted to get out of here and actually go and do my job. I want to hit the fleet and fix these fucking jets, feel like a badass and watch them take off knowing I was responsible for maintaining its integrity. 

  Pulling me from my thoughts was my phone buzzing with a new notification.

  Smiling, I went to the app and added him back. We started talking about anything and everything. He told me about his time in the Marine Corps so far and what it was like in Japan. I learned he was a Motor-T, so he's basically a mechanic for the military. He told me about his hometown in Texas, and how he misses his mom and his girlfriend, and how he hasn't really been able to go home since he's been in Japan because of how expensive plane tickets are. We talked for about an hour or two before I realized I had to go to bed because I have PT in the morning. I wished him a good night and put my phone on its charger before getting comfy in bed. For the first time in a long time, I fell asleep with a smile on my face. I don't know how I got so lucky to meet someone so similar to myself and get match my energy perfectly, but I am so glad that I have. I feel like this is gonna go a long way, and I can't wait.

I know this one is really really short, but work is still so crazy and all I do lately is sleep and work sooo..
