Jennie, a girl chained with her parent's happiness of making her a businesswoman wasn't sure of her destination.
But maybe that wasn't her...
"You don't remember me, Nini?" The other stayed confused but stunned at the same time. How does she know her nickname?
"I expected you to not remember me but I can't believe you are a descendant too." IU sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose.
"Wait who are you?" The younger asked, her mind was in a fizzle. She had no idea what the other was talking about.
"Try to remember Nini, your neighbor, Jason's twin sister. You are not a human so I am sure you still remember about me."
The younger widened her eyes, how could she forget? Now when she remembers she totally forgot about the nerd Ji-eun her own brother loved to bully.
"You are so different from the last time I saw you." Jennie solely whispers, unable to process how did she change so much?
"Well, that is a different story. You've grown up a lot fierce than I thought." She had a warm smile on her face as she says those words.
IU and Jennie used to be neighbors and she often went to her house to play and Ji-eun became her friend too.
The bitter past IU owns is far dreadful than one could describe in words. Jennie only knew a glimpse of it and Ji-eun was afraid, her past would be exposed to everyone.
"The past is past, you have grown into exactly what you said." The younger comforted her, without any sympathy but rather proudness in her eyes.
"How did you know I was afraid?" IU asked, this caught the younger off guard. How do I know? She asks herself.
"Oh obviously you are an Alfar, you know how to read minds. Gosh, I become dumb sometimes." IU spoke, chuckling a bit.
But only Jennie knew she wasn't able to read someone's mind till now, how come she read IU's mind?
Shrugging the thought off, a sudden silence enveloped the room.
"I still can't believe someone who knew my past will be a descendant too." IU sighed, she really hates talking about her past.
And Jennie was a live proof of her past, she moved on from. She was not the same nerd, easily bullied Lee Ji-eun everyone knew, she is the elite IU everyone fears.
