bathing in the setting sun's rays, kamome academy ascended into its isolated phase. the students of the school already headed home.

birds flying by, humming their little tunes. the flow of the wind leading their way. retreating to their own homes, much like the students, before the arrival of the moon.

tsukasa sat on a bench inside the school campus, on his palm was a little spider. he had been asked by his brother to wait for him there, as the older twin left to borrow a book from the library.

the sun is going down now, he muses. their mum have always told them it's best to be home before dark, yet the little boy was nowhere near worried. tsukasa knew that if amane was with him, they'd both be alright.

hearing the footsteps that grew in volume, tsukasa's lips stretched wide. his arms finding its way to wrap around his sibling, no longer paying attention to the spider.

" amane, amane! you're here!! " tsukasa clapped his hands together, expressing his delight.

the said boy only nodded, giving him a light smile. amane held out his free hand for the younger twin to take, which was done no longer than a moment.

tsukasa peeked over to his brother's other hand, which seemed to be occupied by a book with stars and the moon all over it. seeing this, of course, only brought a wider smile to his face.

" wah!! amane, amane! are you going to tell a story about the stars again?! " he asked, beaming.

amane hummed with a nod of his head, his own lips lightly curving upwards.
he holds out the book for his brother to take, to which he gladly accepted.

tsukasa began to talk about his excitement for the story, whilst amane only listened, giving responses. with the younger twin's eyes now glued to the front of the book, he held tsukasa's hand close to continue to guide him on the clear path.

oh, how both of them couldn't wait to get home.

" the sun and moon will meet again, their moments together merely left back then. "
reading out loud the ending, amane closed the book shut after a while.

turning his attention to his sibling, tsukasa comfortably laid on the bottom part of their bunk bed. his mouth slightly hung open, a drool straying out and onto the pillow.

amane could only smile at him, giving his hair a light ruffle as he returned the book to their shelf and climbed up the little ladder. he supposes he could sleep on tsukasa's part of the bed tonight, which he has often done in the past as his sibling tends to fall asleep on his bed.

making himself comfortable, the older twin's pair of amber eyes focused on their decorated ceiling. the room was completely dark with the absence of their lamp's light, that he had shut off right after reading, yet it remained to be beautiful. numerous stickers of the moon, planets and stars were placed all over their, never seeming to stop twinkling in his eyes. they simply glowed in the dark, but it felt like they were much clearer, much closer, like they were actually in space.

no wonder tsukasa chose the upper part of the bed.

amane couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows at the the thought of his brother. tsukasa seemed to be acting different, yet all the same. one moment, he's acting this way, the next, he's acting that way. naturally, the older twin couldn't help the feeling of worry growing from his chest.

tsukasa liked to play outside with the bugs, and he still does. this was something amane has always been familiar with, and he never had a problem with it. although, he could admit some bugs were kind of uncomfortable to look at, but it wasn't really anything of his troubles.

what bothers him, are the times tsukasa disappears for a while. although, merely for a short while, the older twin couldn't help but worry about it.

whenever he asks about it, tsukasa would just shake him off and say he was just looking for a bug, and amane swears he just caught one a moment before that. it seems to disappear right after as well.

it was unusual, to say the least, despite the fact that it had been occuring a lot lately.

perhaps amane was just scared..

" please just leave him alone. "

tsukasa heard his brother speak from a distance.

he would usually pay attention to whatever the older twin has to say, but seeing as it was not directed to him, he proceeds to color the green dinosaur in his notebook.

amane talks to their classmates every now and then, and tsukasa was delighted by it. more people to play with, he thought, but they never seemed to want to play with them at all.

" hmph, have it your way, yugi. you owe us, though! " amane's friend replied, while the former only nodded in response.

they were leaving already?

tsukasa could care less about them, though. the only friend he wants to play with most is amane, anyway.

speaking of, amane walked up to his brother and took his hand, mumbling out a little,

" let's go, tsukasa. "

hugging his brother's arm, tsukasa followed. their next class was science class, and anyone could easily tell that tsukasa was eagerly looking forward to it.
the way he's swinging their arms together, the little jump in his steps, and the obvious wide smile on his face. it all gave his excitement away.

it was a behaviour of tsukasa that always seemed to be contagious. well, to amane, at least, as the duo made their way to the classroom with a smile on their faces.

hopefully their teacher talks about the moon again today.
