Loki was sitting in his apartment in the TVA, organizing some files he has been reviewing earlier that day, when he noticed something didn't feel quite right. Something was missing. It took him a few moments to put his finger on what it was, but he signed heavily when he noticed the pressure he usually felt against his upper body was gone.
His jacket.
Of course I managed to forget that, Loki thought.
He slipped on his shoes and crept out into the hallway. The lights were dim, it was resting hours in this sector of the TVA. There was a soft cozy feeling to the place, despite being slightly eerie.
He arrived at the set of doors that led to the large room of cubicles, and silently pressed the door open. The room was empty, with only the quiet beeping of the timeline monitor playing. He made his way over to his cubicle, expecting his jacket to be draped over his chair where he had remembered leaving it.
He frowned slightly upon seeing the jacket wasn't there. He moved a few things around and looked under his desk, confirming the jacket wasn't there. He was about to turn and head back to his apartment, assuming he had brought it back and hadn't realized, as he was deep in thought after he had finished working. But something stopped him.
A small yellow sticky note, attached to the computer monitor on his desk.
That certainly wasn't there before, Loki thought.
He approached it gently grasping the small slip of paper, and processed to read it.
"Looking for something? Come and get it :b Room 141B.
-M"Loki's face broke into a grin as he read the letter, letting out a soft chuckle at the use of the emoticon. Loki had taught Mobius a month ago what emoticons were. Since then, Mobius had been using and drawing little emoticons on almost everything (which Loki had thought was extremely adorable).
Loki read over the note again quickly, memorizing the room number, and shoving it in his pocket, then rushing out of the room.
"141B, 141B, 141B..." Loki muttered as he walked briskly, scanning the room numbers for Room 141B.
He continued walking through the hallways, occasionally stopping at a door, mistaking it to be the room he was looking for. After two minutes of rushing through the halls excitedly, he found what he was looking for.
Room 141B
Loki paused for a moment outside the door, grinning at the thought of seeing Mobius. He had come to terms with the fact that he had feelings for the grey-haired man, but he never acted upon those feelings. Heck, he didn't even know whether or not Mobius was straight!
But he did know one thing.
He knew that he wouldn't dare reveal what he thought of Mobius if it meant jeopardizing their friendship. And with that final thought, Loki opened the door.
Loki stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. He scanned the room, unsure of what to expect. Upon seeing the room was empty, he released a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. He walked over to the chair, which was seated behind an oak desk. And there was his jacket, draped over it.
Of course, what was I even expecting?, Loki questioned himself.
What was he expecting? Some big grand gesture from Mobius? A confession perhaps? No, those were Loki's own selfish desires, and he knew he shouldn't let them get the better of him.
