Chapter 9: the battlefield

I swim somewhat close to the city. There a battle rages on between man, and extra terrestrial. It's amazing the Xilians didn't get futher than this over a years time. I swim into the Biscayne bay, making sure that my spines stay put of the water for intimidation. I stop right in front of where the bay stops. All fighting stops. Everything looks at me in awe as I let out a gurgled roar under the water. As i rise out of the water slowly, I see soliders starring at me. I look over the xilians who have done the same. I could tell that they were wondering how a monster like me isn't on their side. I stand out of the water, just in front of the bay. No one moves. Just then my eyes and spines start to glow blue. Before I fire the aromic breath, I get a good look at their ships. Sleak silver rounded ships with a curved point at the front. I open my mouth and fire. I move my head from right to left as my atomic breath wipes out each ship on contact. I walk to the ground forces and swipe them away with my tail. I look at the humans who are still shocked to see what had happened and i walk away. I still have a long journey ahead of me.
