Author's note: This is my first ever fic oneshot? (Idk what you call these) So sorry for the awkward writing, I just write for fun (criticism is still welcomed). My fics don't have to be read together, they are stand alone pieces but they do come together to form a cohesive story of G. and the reader. Don't mind the spelling/grammatical errors if there are any. I didn't proof-read this because this was actually something I wrote to vent and comfort myself. I hope you enjoy it!

"Hey G."
"* yeahhh- what is it?" The older male's voice echoed from the other far corner of the room filled with books, not turning his head to answer as he was busy fidgeting with an ancient mechanism he found in the ruins a while ago at his desk. It was rusty and had several weird shapes plus letters engraved into it, and oh, he was a very curious skeleton. He was determined to find out what it was meant for.
Awkwardly, there was no answer, and that was the cue to the skeleton to stop with what he was doing and to look for his doll. Suspecting she had already gone to another room, he got up from his noisy and squeaky over-worn desk chair and turned around, only to find her at the other corner of the room, sitting at the side of window stilt, looking blankly at nothing in particular. That was enough to draw some worry from the older male, but before he could overthink it, he questioned again, "* is something wrong? did i upset you?"
The younger one turned her head, making eye contact with her partner before putting on a very faint smile, which didn't seem very genuine and only drew more concern from the skeleton, and answered, "No, I have a question."
"* shoot it then, don't keep me guessing, baby. your demeanour today has gotten 'worry' written all over my face in the slenderman font."
"Alright... fine. Just don't answer it and forget it if it's too... weird okay but... here I go. If there ever comes a day that I disappear, would you be able to forgive me and move on?"
Silence filled the room. He never anticipated such a question, nor had he ever thought of such a question. She was his world and he couldn't and didn't want to think of a universe or timeline that didn't have her in it. And immediately and very visibly, his face of slight concern for his doll turned into an expression of fear and speechlessness as his brow bones(?) furrowed even deeper and closer towards one another, not knowing what and how to respond to such a question put forward to him.
"*...what's with the question? are you... not happy with me, doll?"
"It's just... haha forget it. It's.. not that important. I guess."
"* no, no. tell me what's exactly on your mind now. or i will keep bugging at you for it if you don't tell me now." Sans insisted, wanting to get down to the matter at hand. He was always forthcoming and firm in his decisions and what he wanted to know and said, which probably contributed greatly to his charisma.
"Well, what if i ceased to exist?"
The wrench that was in his cold hand sculpted of bones dropped to the floor like how his heart sank when he processed the question. Sure, it could have been a silly theoretical question like "what if i turned into a worm?" she would ask sometimes but with the expression of his lover, the very concerning nature of the question, the alarm in his head going off and everything else put into consideration, everything was ringing in his head like an emergency alarm bell but nothing had happened yet and there was no one to tell or call or seek for.
Noticing he hadn't answered yet and the silence was slowly building up once again, which wasn't helping the already tense atmosphere of the warm room warmed by the fire pit, he quickly mustered up his courage, putting together words coming deep down from his soul, "*...no matter what, i will always love you for the rest of my everlasting life, you know that, i know that. that doesn't mean i can live without you here, you're... different. and with you by my side now, i can't imagine another dimension or timeline without you in it. but would you tell me, what's going on? why the question? if anything is bothering you, you always know i can settle it for you."
