I returned home with the same fluttering feeling i had when i was with her. I tried my best to take my mind off it so it wouldn't seem obvious, but its like i forgot. The 'people' around me could sense anything from a mile away anyway. "Yuta." A stern voice called me from upstairs. I could only sigh and go see him though i knew i was in trouble.

As soon as i walked into his bedroom, Jaehyun looked deep into my eyes and shaked his head, i havent seen him that disappointed in a while. "I think you have something to tell me?" He said shifting his view back towards the book in his hand. Almost a thousand but still the angsty, serious teenager he was decades ago.

"You mean us..?"

"Minhyung?!" Both me and Jaehyun exclaimed seeing that he suddenly appeared laying on the bed. He didn't look as disappointed as Jaehyun did though. At this point i didnt want to think anymore, if only it was possible to erase anything from my mind if i wanted to. I'd gladly trade that with seeing the future any day. Its not like i can see things i wanted to all the time anyway. For instance, this.

I sat next to Minhyung and only layed down on his bed, "Just do your thing, read my mind. Invade my privacy again~" I slightly laughed joking around. But they still seemed serious about the entire thing. "Just tell us what happened, we won't tell." Jaehyun replied. "Won't tell? As if they couldn't read me if they wanted to anyway.".

"I only knew what you did because i went there to search for you, i saw what happened. I didn't randomly read you.. what do you see me as? A Yuta fan? Look, unlike you no one goes around reading every single thought we have.".

"Fine. I just wanted to help, her flowers were all over the place, i felt bad.. then.." I thought of her again before i could continue my sentence, the warmth in her hand while she caressed my cheek, i could still feel it so vividly. Knowing Jaehyun and Minhyung, i knew i didnt have to say much to gain their trust, "Nothing happened. I didn't want to look suspicious so i stayed." I told them partially on what happened.

They quickly got off the topic after hearing my explanation, they didnt seem to care much. I felt bad abusing their trust on me, but what else could i have said?
After a while, it was finally midnight. Jaehyun packed his bags with a wide smile, leaving both me and Minhyung rather surprised. "Where are you going this time?" Minhyung asked. "To see someone.. I'll be back when the sun rises, and oh, happy birthday Yuta.".

"poof~" Just like that, Jaehyun was gone.

I was about to leave the room until Minhyung grabbed my arm, "You can tell me the truth.".

_______________

Yuta was stunned and a bit taken aback when he suddenly confronted him out of nowhere. But he knew he couldn't escape it, "...I don't know myself.". Yuta replied. His friend nodded but knew exactly what he meant. He's never seen Yuta this way, but he's 500 himself, he's seen the people around him experiencing something similar.

"Whatever it is, try not to hurt yourself much. You're old enough to know whats right for you. Don't get caught."

______________

Minhyung's POV.

Knowing Yuta, he's always one to be oblivious on everything but he isn't careless. This is something he chose by himself, he knows what he was getting himself in to. Since we were young he had always been so headstrong, no one could change his mind. Though he always seemed hesitant to do things, he would do it anyway, 'you never know until you try' he always said.

Of course having that mindset was great, but in times like this it could lead to unspeakable consequences.

"I won't, even if i do, wouldn't it just be the same ending? Both roads lead to one place." Yuta replied. He sounded exhausted, like he saw things he wasn't prepared for. Though i was curious to see what happened today, i couldn't find myself doing so, seeing how this meant a lot to him.

"I, I actually have something to ask. When you like someone, do you feel the warmth-" Before Yuta could finish his question, i immediately cut him out,
"Yuta cut it, do you see any vampires here with heat in their body? Metaphorically yes i have, literally heat, no. You're talking like you're in a mortal drama." I laughed a little at seeing how flustered he was. But i wasnt wrong,
"You know what, you watched way too much of those." I continued. Even his sketchbook is filled with paintings of main leads from the dramas he loved so much.

"Hehe.. but i just met her. I don't even know if i like her. But its my fate to be with her until her last breath, i have to prepare myself for it, right?"

I really couldn't help but smile for him, he's the happiest in the most worrying situations as always. Its the only time i could see him smile so brightly anyway.

The promise i made you.

"Is there anything else that you like?" I asked, looking into her eyes lovingly. There she nodded, "I like everything about the sea, from the sounds of waves crashing onto shore to the different hues it takes on different parts of the days!" Ai replied enthusiastically.

"Hm.. lets go see the emerald sea together one day!" She suggested with the brightest smile I've seen.

"Sure, one day." I promised though i knew, the only sea i could ever take her to was one that is of a pitch black night.
