(3rd Person)(couple of days later) (Tommy is bold)
Tommy stood in the void of a room. No light or any semblance of life. Everywhere he looked was just black. Stepping forward, he was presented with a loud footstep reverberating off of walls that weren't there. Tommy looked down, seeing both of his legs holding him up, all fixed up.
"Tommy.."
"Hello?"
"Tommy."
"Who's there.?"
"..."
"Where am I? Is this a dream?"The boy could hear his own voice travel back to him, a weird sound following.
"Its funny.."
Whatever resided in said voided room now stood very close, close enough for Tommy to hear its breathing.
"Who are you?! Where am I?! Show yourself!" Tommy shouted in fright, jumping to the side, once again hearing the sound of his movements bouncing off of the invisible walls.
Then, just as requested, A large beast stood in front of him.
"Hello, Tommy." It said with a wicked smile.
"What are you..?" Tommy said, again taking a step back, annoyed with his sounds coming back to him.
"That's quite rude of you to ask.." The creature said, circling around the boy who was as confused as he was terrified.
Tommy shivered, just then noticing his hands. They were, Normal..
"What the-" Tommy said, bringing up his hand to examine it.
"Quite ugly. Wouldn't you say.?" The creature said nonchalantly.
"What.?" Tommy said, looking back up to the creature.
"I said its ugly.." It repeated, "Geez I know I give better hearing, but I didn't think that it meant you were deaf without it.."
"Wait, YOU give me better hearing??"
"As well as other things, yes." The creature looked at Tommy, shaking its head. "It was required ever since those foolish scientists injected me into your body. Otherwise you and I would both die."
Tommy stood in front of the creature that talked to him, dumbfounded. Here he was, being told that he wasn't the only thing living in his body.
"So.. Uh. Do you have a uh, name?"
The creature growled, "Foolish mortal. I had no part in taking a name."
Tommy stood there, contemplating. "Well.. What if I give you one.?"
The creature scoffed, "Go ahead and try."
Tommy thought for a moment, thinking of names that he found nice. "What about Clementine.?"
"That-" The creature paused, "Thats actually not half bad.."
The beast huffed, "You win this time, human. Maybe we will get along after all.."Tommy woke with a start, the sounds of mumbling causing him to bolt awake. His swirling blue eyes darted around his pitch black room. His eyes then landed on a small glare of light, residing in the far corner of the darkness.
Squinting his eyes, he could make out the silhouette of a person. His eyes, now swirling with confusion and fear, darted over to a different sound. He looked almost like a wild animal, jumping to every sound.
He shifted his gaze back over to the lit up corner, feeling an anxiety building up in his stomach. The silhouette shifted, Tommy no longer being able to just blame it on the lighting. But, something seemed off. It seemed like its back was turned away from him.
Tommy leaned forward, seeing familiar brunette hair. "Karl.?"
The silhouette turned, a surprised expression resting on their face. Half of his face was shadowed by the darkness, while half of his face was lit up by the light."Tommy? Why are you awake.?" Karl asked, a confused expression now settling on the visible side of his face.
"I heard you talking.. Who are you talking to.?" Tommy said, trying to look around Karl to see what the light was.Tommy's mouth was held agape when he saw something he had never thought to have seen. What had sat behind Karl was a floating book. It was the color purple and flipped pages on its own. Little symbols flew off the pages and it was glowing in a light teal.
"Karl. What the hell is that..?" Tommy whispered in almost a yell. Karl glanced back over his shoulder to see what tommy was talking about before whipping back over to tommy with a guilty look. "Um.."
"I was just practicing my mother language.."
And thats when it all went dark for Tommy..
