Once upon a time.... Every story begins with a once upon a time. Including mine. Although my story is fairly different from everyone else's; as I've come to find out. Six months ago, I believed I was no different than your average Joe that you pass on the streets every day. Maybe I was far more boring than your average Joe. The only interesting thing about me is that I was in foster care my entire life. But then again hundreds of thousands of kids are raised in the foster care system. So maybe I'm not all that interesting after all.
Now you're probably wondering what happened six months ago that made me change my mind about my life. Well, six months ago a coworker convinced me to take a 23 & Me DNA test. I didn't exactly know what I was signing up for when I agreed to do it with her. I was only told that it'd help my find out my heritage. Little did I know that a few weeks after I took the DNA test that I'd get a message from a woman claiming to be my biological mother. From that point on my life was forever changed.... for the dramatic.
