Escape

Hiss. Whir. Hum. Hisswhir. Hum. Hiswhirhumhisswhirhumhisswhirhum. The noises were growing louder and quicker. They slowly began to merge together, all around becoming deafening and stronger. One giant destructive noise, lights flashing in multitudes of color as images played in between each flash of blinding color. Breathing grew more frequent and shallow, shallow like the understanding of what was happening until they finally could breathe, bolting upright and clutching a caving and expanding chest as soft lungs finally fill to the brim with the sweet flow of oxygen! Once the pounding of a heart and loud ringing in two ears had died down, the being who held those vital organs in and on their fragile form slowly looked around with terrified (e/c) eyes. They saw three other figures with them, one male and two female, all asleep. They were encased in these... Pods... Floating in some kind of odd airy substance. Or at least the figure assumed it was given they were currently buoyant in the substance. The person slammed on the glass, tubes and wires followed as their hands went to their face. A mask was there, providing oxygen to their systems. They began to tear up, no one could hear them, they continued pounding, unleashing dark tentacles that slowly ripped the wiring from their body and tried to pry the tank open by forcing their way out, the floating stopped and they landed on the cold flooring and swiftly removed the mask from their face, they used the tentacles to slowly tear apart the metal casing from its hinges and scurried out. They drunkly trudged to another tank, the male's. There they smashed the instrument panel on the front of it and looked inside. The male's face was warping into one of distress and terror, they began having the same reaction as the first until his eyes flew open, his eyes shot to the figure currently trying to pry open the container. Unbeknownst to them guards and officials were on their way to stop them.

CRASH. The case opened violently, the being inside dropped and the other pulled the wiring and tubes out of them and held them up, "(y-y/n)?" He said and took a deep breath in, you nodded and smiled a little. You helped him up and began to help him walk out, tentacles slowly retracting, you both looked up, outside of the fairly roomy tank was a crowd of on lookers. Their leader had a small smirk, "Well well. It seems two of the children woke up." He said, "What the hell are we doing here?" You asked, your voice was saturated with a false calmness to seem much more threatening, the leader chuckled, amused by this, his raven hair and facial stubble made him seem like a typical villain, only this time it wasn't any kind of story. "My name is Nile Dawk, I currently run the Military Police. We conducted a little, search and seizure on your precious little Scout's HQ." he said with a smug look, "Don't worry about your little friends, we'll keep a look out on them." He said and turned to his men, "Make sure they don't escape this time." He said and began to walk through them, immediately the troops pulled their weapons on them, Levi coughed a little and unleashed his claws, it slowly morphed up into his body as he let go of the Glitch leader, they pulled the same trick he did but when the Virus reached their head they let out a loud call. Loud enough to wake the other two sleeping in their tanks.

The two able bodied members broke the tank and began to charge the crowd, now that they were given a more stable environment, the virus that laid within them could be accessed and controlled with much more ease and frequency, the group open fired on the beasts, the two of which weren't really happy about it. They came at the small militia and threw them out of their way, heading towards the other tanks, the tentacles on (y/n)'s back were bundled to create a sort of barrier as they opened the machine, meanwhile Levi clawed at the tank and ripped Sasha out as (y/n) grabbed Mikasa. The bullets pierced the Virused skin and caused a sharp pain for both creatures who crashed and stumbled down the hallways and into various places as a desperate attempt to escape. Finally they came upon a promising area but it was short lived as it lead into a new labyrinth of cells and small chambers.

Levi and (y/n) were tiring quickly, the regenerations and being in their beastly state for longer than used to with out a mindless factor was beginning to show through. They dropped the two females and collapsed, shrinking and humanizing more and more, eventually becoming humanoids once again. Sasha picked Levi up and Mikasa did the same with their leader, they slowly trudged and got as far away from the entryway as possible, ducking into the shadows and coves when they heard an unfavorable noise. Eventually guards came in and searched the nooks and cranny's for the four fugitives, one had found an abandoned cell and had tucked the four away into a corner while the light from a weapon's barrel traced the room and swiftly moved over them, after all was said and done they roamed again through the system and looked in the cells for any familiar faces. None were there.

"Oi. Sasha. Set us down somewhere safe. We need a plan." Levi softly commanded, she nodded and did what she was told, Mikasa set you down and you all looked at each other. Eventually all eyes fell on you, "What do you suggest we do?" You growled at the thought of being a leader, "Why do you ask me?" You responded, "We don't have time for this. What do we do?" You took in a deep breath and tried to think of a good plan, "We need to start the chain of events. Sneak through tunnels and airways to their power grids. I'm sure they've been studying us in those pod things but that doesn't mean we can't smash it to bits." You said and sat up, "As long as we can do that the others should be able to figure out the rest." Mikasa looked down at you, "How do you know?" She asked and sat by you, "We'll tell them, as long as we stay hidden we should be fine." Levi looked at you, "How do you know it'll work?" You shot a small glare at him, "Do you have an idea?" He clicked his tongue and shrunk back a little, you looked at the three, "We'll have to stop periodically, the fewer the better, but we're in no shape to take a straight trip there. The longer we can rest the better but the fewer those breaks would be ideal too. We'll wait here for a few more minutes before we fully move out, one of you scout around and look for an opening." Sasha stood and snuck off, leaving the other three, "Who knew it would be like this?..." You said, Levi looked up, "We all knew going in. We knew coming out. It's the fact that we didn't know when is what the feeling is." He said quietly, you and Mikasa looked at where Sasha ran off, she came back a few minutes later, winged arm floating gently, "G-Guys I found and entry..." She said and looked paler than before, "What is it?" Someone asked, "I over heard some of the guards... They plan to kill everyone of the Scouts in captivity if we don't surrender..." She said, "Break time's over, let's go." Mikasa and Sasha helped you and Levi up, the four of you made it to the vent opening she found, the guards were talking about going back in the room and the small coup had crawled into the vent and closed the grate a few moments before they arrived. Soon all four were meandering around in the vent shaft, blindly stumbling until you could see out an exit way, there were cells there too, these didn't look like ones they'd hold special prisoners in. You all continued until you reached another porthole, it was above Nile Dawk's personal office. He was sitting at his desk and muttering angrily about the escaped prisoners. As much as you all wanted to knock him unconscious, you four continued.

There it was. The room you were looking for, heavily guarded with special barriers to ensure no escapes. Glitch silently moved out, making distractions for the guards to search in the cells. Bingo. The first they came across was Hanji's, her right arm was bloody and she looked pale, she sat in the corner and stared at the floor. Her once bubbly and enthusiastic brown eyes were now dull and lifeless, Levi went up to the glass surrounding the pen she was held in and tapped it softly, the messy head of brown hair slowly turned and the shine less eyes gained a new spark. The scientist grinned widely at the sight of the four ragged beings at her cell door, Levi looked at you, "Fill her in, we'll go find the others." You whispered and scampered off with the other two. Finally you found Erwin's cell from the rafters, you climbed down when the coast was clear, "Erwin!" You whispered loudly, he looked up in surprise and looked at your form with shock, in all honesty he had believed, along with most of the other Scouts, that the four of you had been finished off by the MP's, you told him as much as you could of your plan before some guards came around the corner, you hopped back into the rafters and hid, you had informed him of most of it and looked for the other two, they had gone to find their friends and you waited for them to return, when they did you all went to find Levi, he had disappeared from Hanji's cell and was sitting patiently on the rafters waiting for the three of you to return. Once back you all headed back to the vents to crawl around again, "Let's head back to Nile's office and wait until he leaves, then we'll look for a map." You said and crawled in. The others nodded and followed you. All four made their way back to the Commander's office and looked around to see if he was there, he apparently left because the room was filled with a deadly silence. One by one you all dropped down, each delicately searching for a guide of the building, finally you came across an electronic one and grabbed a small cloth to tie it to you, three members of Glitch went into the vents. You lingered to tilt a few paintings before leaving then crawled in, all of you went to a safe spot in the vents and pulled up the electronic building. A large room near the center showed the most promise.

This was where you all would go. This was where the fun would begin.
