月出 Moonrise

It's Friday, the rain has poured heavily since last night. The weather is not too cold, but a bit chilly now. In this weather, I need a cup of soothing hot tea to accompany me.

I stop walking and look up to the sky. The clouds still cover the sky and the drizzle is light that I almost don't need an umbrella. But, still, I bring along my 511's umbrella that I bought last May. The umbrella's brand name is 511.

On the way to my comfort zone; the tea café, the alluring white roses alongside the park catch my eyes.

I see children playing on the playground in the drizzle and catching the tiny raindrops on their tongues while playing with the white roses on their tiny hands.

It was an arduous journey for me this whole time until I met a person who also enjoys sipping tea in the same café to calm his mind every weekend.

We are going to meet soon.

I met myself here in early October on the day that I accidentally found the café and the owner. A year where I could be myself and follow my passion with the help of those people who believe in me.

Pouring all my ideas into collaborating with the owner of the tea café, I found out many interesting stories about him and his life.

I am still walking under the drizzle, step by step, to the nearest road. This cosy café surely invites more people to come and taste all their good flavours of tea. I arrive his café's front door after 15 minutes of walking.

The café is located in a quiet secluded place where not so many people realise of its existence. Only café hunters aware of this place. It is located not too far from the main road but hidden from the tall bushes around it.

The quaint café's interior is done according to his taste, which gives a cosy ambience for those who visit the café. Those who like to be close to nature will find it perfect to stay and do their work at the café.

I love the smell of the café; the sweet earthy fresh tea aroma that lingers the café combining with the freshly baked delicacies, enough to make anyone walking by the café to drop by and have a round of tea session.

'You're here! Come inside!' He greets me with his wide smile.

I stroll and find my favourite spot in the café. He knows me so well and even saves me some space to write about him and the places he found to ease and heal his feelings. He is the sincerest person that I've met so far. Being honest with all of his thoughts.

'This is for you, my princess.' He gives me a cup of my favourite flavour of tea and sits in front of him.

          'Is it Osmanthus?' I asked.

          'Yes, your favourite. Like always.'

'Thank you. And I am so happy for you, now.'

'Why?' He seems surprised and shrugs his shoulders with his hands up.

'Nothing, I just want to say that you are what you are. You believe in darkness before the light. Regardless of how many times you fell, and now, I am genuinely happy to know that you're a strong person.'

'You don't trust me, right? Even before this, you said I was fragile and kind of soft. Ah! No, princess. I am what I am. A cockroach that is hard to die. Don't you remember that I am a cat with 9 lives? My weaknesses are when people who I trust don't trust me. But, when I saw you and met you, I knew right away that I could put my trust in you.'

'Once a liar, always a liar. Remember that phrase? I once told you about my view back then, but you always said to be kind, but never trust the system. Now, I can see it. Thanks for that,' I said to him.

I sip the freshly brewed Osmanthus tea in front of him. He looks at me with his beautiful dreamy eyes. In this dazzling cosy café, he makes time stop for a while.

I love to make a decision about my life and keep on asking him some related questions for my work purposes to inspire people who have fallen many times and just to tell the world that it's okay to fall, it's not all bad.

'He is not here, yet?' I asked him.

'Yeah, not yet. Maybe soon. Are you waiting for him?'

'Yup, I want to try some of his signatures. I heard he wants to make some dessert from Gardenia too. I am waiting for that.'

He smirks and laughs a bit. 'Are you sure?'

'Yes, I am. But, now, could you serve me some appetising food from your café? Now you can cook, right?'

'Don't look down on me, my princess. Now, I can cook. Just simple food and desserts. Somehow, I still remember how I burned the kitchen last time. Hahaha, such a silly me. But, I won't make the same mistake. I learned my lesson.'

When he is overjoyed, his moon eyes appear, and he tilts his head while looking at me as I type something on my phone.

'Are you a cat? Peeping on someone else's phone?'

'I am! Meow!' He tries to act like a cat. Such a funny, handsome man.

'Who are you texting?' He asks, like a curious cat.

'Him. I texted him to ask about his presence. Just in case to confirm, plus I am not going to interview you alone.'

He always talks about himself, a forgetful man when he is having hard times. Not only that, he almost forgot about his past events too, but still takes it as a challenge to move forward.

Only people who don't recognise other people's talent would do something awful. Sometimes, I don't get it. How do people's minds work and not have some faith in people who work their asses off? He is neither stupid nor weak. He's got his passion in his field and also has his own will. Pity him? He wouldn't want it, either

'He's here, bringing the Endless Summer Hydrangea. Like always,' I said to him while looking at the other person who entered the tea café with the sincerest smiles.
