This is just a small chapter from the first book to refresh your memory! If you haven't read the first book (Tuff Love [An Outsiders Fanfiction]) I suggest you do because it will get a little confusing!
(This was the last chapter of the first book!)
Dally's POV (Before he dies)
I got off the phone with Darry and started running towards the park. As I was running I felt something warm down my arm. I touched it and my fingers were red. Blood. The damn store clerk shot me. I was slowing down as the edge of my vision started going black. Come on, I have to see Hailey one more time. I ran faster as I heard the police sirens growing closer. I rounded a corner and saw the park come into view, I also saw Hailey running towards me and the gang following far behind her. The sirens were right behind me. I saw the cars pull up onto the grass and the fuzz pull out their guns. I didn't know what to do, I mean I've been pulled over by the fuzz and they've come knocking on my door but never this many or with guns! I acted fast without even thinking of the consequences, and pulled out the unloaded gun that I always carry around as a bluff. I heard Hailey crying and screaming as well as the gang yelling. When I turned towards her I saw a horrified look on her face and she continued running towards me. All that was blocked out when I felt an agonizing pain all over my body. It felt like I was burning. I fell to the ground and felt what I suppose was blood, beneath me. This is it, I'm dying. I've been praying for this moment all my life. Now the it's here, I don't want to die! I can't leave Hailey. I can't leave our children without a father. Then I thought of the Socs words. "She needs someone better than you. A worthless DJ." He's right. I'm doing this for her. She will move on, find someone who can support her and those kids. Someone who will love her as much as I do. Treat her with the respect she deserves because she is the most amazing woman in the world. Love my kids. That's all I can hope for. I'll always love Hailey. She was my first and last love. Scratch that. She will always be the love of my life. Even in death. "I love you Hailey." I whispered as my eyes closed and darkness took over my body. Finally the pain, emotional and physical was gone. And so was I.
Hailey's POV
I sat there motionless. Staring at the spot where the love of my life died. Shot in cold blood. Right I front of me.

"Hailey, come on you can't stay out here. You're going to get sick." Soda said in a very soft voice. As if, if he spoke louder I would break. "I don't care." He sighed and sat down. "It's raining Hailey. You're going to get si-" he started saying again until I snapped. "I DON'T CARE SODAPOP! Don't you listen!? Dally and Johnny are dead! Don't you understand that! I don't care anymore!" I said while tears rolled down my face. "Just go. I'll be home soon." When he didn't get up I screamed, "Soda just go! If you care about me just go!" With that he got up and left while muttering something along the lines of "just looking out for you" in a glum tone. I sat there replaying good memories in my head. Not just of Dally and I, but of everyone who has ever left me. I've always been a good person, kind, respectful and loved everyone. (Unless they gave me a reason not to..) Why do bad things always happen to good people?! As I thought that an idea popped into my head. "I don't care anymore." I whispered into the pitch black space around me.
