After last night Jaden fell asleep on my chest.
Nai: Jaden it's time to get up
Jaden: Why? Nai: Because it's already 10am and I think your parents would like one of your famous chocolate pancakes.
Jaden: I can't be bothered.
Nai: Jae come on. I want food too.
Jaden: Fine, only for you.
He says getting out of bed and putting on a hoodie.
We both walk downstairs,
Jaden: What the fuck!?
He almost shouts picking up a piece of paper that was lying on the counter.
Nai: What happened?
I ask walking over to him and wrapping my arms around him.
Jaden: My parents left for Tennessee this morning
Nai: What? Why?
Jaden: I don't know, all my Dad says is that my Mom felt uncomfortable being here any longer.
He says sighing and resting his head against the counter.
Nai: I'm so sorry Jaden.
Jaden: No no it's not your fault. Atleast my Mom won't be bringing Mads round.
Nai: I know but they're still your parents, Are you not a tiny bit upset that they left without telling you?
Jaden: Kind of but I'll be fine. Now lets make some chocolate pancakes.
He says taking out the ingredients.
Nai: Jaden no!
I shout after he throws a handful of flour at me.
I pick up some flour and throw it at him.
Jaden: Oh I can't fucking believe you!
He says wiping of the flour on his face.
Nai: Are the pancakes done yet?
I whine sitting on the counter.
Jaden: Almost done Love.
He smiles, taking two plates out of the cupboard and placing one on front of me.
Nai: Good.
Jaden: What do you want on it?
He says placing a few pancakes on my plate.
Nai: Strawberries please!
Jaden: Okay,
He puts some strawberry slices into a bowl and hands it to me with the pancakes.
Nai: Thank you.
After Jaden got his toppings he sat beside me and we ate in silence.
Nai: Thank you for making breakfast Jae. I'm really sorry about your parents though.
I say placing my hand on his.
Jaden: Really Nai don't worry, It was my parents choice. I can't expect them to always be supportive of my decisions but I really hoped that they would like you.
Nai: Well it seems your dad likes me?
I smile,
Jaden: Yeah he does but hopefully my Mom will come around soon.
He smiles weakly and kisses my cheek.
Nai: You've just got to give her time, She thinks Mads is best for you-
Jaden: But she's not.
He interupts me.
Nai: But that's what your Mom believes, It's the instinct of a mother, To do what's best for her child. That's never going to change Jaden, but her opinion about you and Mads may change, Just give her time alright?
Jaden: Fuck, you're so kind and understanding.
He says, kissing my forehead and pulling me in for a hug.
Nai: I can't be pissed at you for what your Mom's belifes are. It's not your fault Jae.
Jaden: God you're amazing
He laughs,
Jaden: How about we go on another date tonight?
Nai: Okay,
