Love should've been easy on all levels. From childhood Saraf had this dream of having a easy life. Easy accomplishments, easy relationships and easy lifestyle. He got financial services easily. And that's all. His accomplishments were hard, his relationships harder and lifestyle hardest. Born with a silver spoon and dead mother. Saraf's father remarried when he was 10. Talia was slim and pretty. He liked her at first but gradually he understood how she was all about money.
His father was getting lost in his own world . And Saraf found all his happiness in his father's friend's daughter, Khainah. Khainah was sweet and caring. She was there for him at all times . They also studied together. His Aina, his first love. He could've never wanted anything else.
One day Talia made up a harassment story about khainah's father Mr. Qarif. Mr. Jenan, Saraf's father, fought with him and the friendship was over . But Saraf and khainah kept their friendship, they were now 17 when Saraf thought about proposing Aina. He was happy. Right when he saw her with some other boy . He was heartbroken. Next day when khainah came running to him , maybe she had something to tell. But Saraf was all hot headed, he couldn't look at her . How could she ? After all these years of friendship. Saraf was bursting with anger. He heard his voice, shouting at her. Telling how she and her family are predators. How they use other people and crush their feelings . There was no confessions. Just allegations. Judgements.
Their friendship broke off. He went abroad for studies and never loved after Aina.
Khainah was still in air, there was 2 more hours to reach destination. She thought about Saraf the most. The pain was real. She closed her eyes.
Saraf was still in office it was way past him work time. When Nadine entered his office.
" Let's go home."
" You go." Saraf waved at her.
"Can we please work this out ?"
"No."
"Ok. Then let's not get married and.. "
"Ok"
"Stop behaving like this. What is wrong with you? "
"Leave." His finger pointed at the door.
She stomped out of his room.
He dropped his head on his hands. What is wrong with him ?
