Ch: 6 What to do
It's been a good 8 days, So a week since we found out something was keeping tabs on us. The others have gotten so nervous. They never leave my side. They're constantly asking me if it's watching. And usually it is. I havnt fucking slept in 7 days.
Peters even becomes like a puppy, clinging to its mother. The packs just lost and we are all sleep deprived right now. Were all anxious waiting for an attack, but still nothing. I not sure what this creatures trying to do, But if its to stress me the fuck out its working. I hate being the only one the pack can rely on to tell them when it's watching. I also hate seeing them like this: scared and worried.
Let me make this clear: puppy piles are fun in games when you are playing around and laughing but not when said puppy pile lasts all night, with whimpering shifters. Literally some of us have been getting nightmares. But my point is everyone is in my room with me 24/7. Where I go they go. About two days ago I tried to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Peter had a death grip on me. Derek, Scott and Issac were also laid on top of me. So that was a failure. Though last night I managed to escape my bed only to trip the girls on the floor. Yeah most of the time the guys and at the top of the bed with me and the girls start at the end of the bed then end up on the floor by morning .
My dads got so worried as well. Usually Jordan never shows weakness. And he's started sneaking into my room after shift with my dad. I think there's something going on between them. But I don't have to investigate that. I barely have time to work on what's going on now. I have no time to myself. Everyones always with me. It's difficult to get any research done.
This thing hasn't done anything, like at all. It's just been watching. It doesn't make sense to me. I mean I sort of get it . Gather all the intell you can so you have an effective attack plan. It's just been watching it 24/7 for about two weeks now. It should have enough information gathered to make a move. And yet it doesn't, why?
" Stiles, do you have any idea what this thing is yet?" Derek walked into the living room where I sat with many others from our pack.
" No, All I know. Is that it's definitely something we have already faced. " I put the book I was reading down, I set it on the couch, Then processed it to get up from said couch.
" How do you know for sure it's not someone we know instead of something we have fought." Lydia questioned. Which I understand.
" It's hard to explain, It's just a feeling. It doesn't feel familiar in the sense that I've been around whoever this thing is before, this thing gives me a sick, kinda scared feeling. Which is why I think it's a creature we have faced before but not necessarily someone we know."
" Ok, That makes sense. We can work with that." Derel mostly said that to himself. He's just trying to stay calm like the rest of us.
" Yes, it does help. we can narrow things down slightly. There are still a vast number of supernatural creatures you guys have not faced." Deaton chimed in, He came earlier today because everyone else refused to leave the safety and comfort of my house.
" So let's make a list of the different types of monsters we've gone up against." This time Chris joined the conversation. All the adults in our pack made their way to my house about two days ago.
" You know, Maybe if we can get Stiles close enough to this thing, he can get an idea of what it is. So far stiles is able to tell when the monster is around. So let's try getting him closer. It might even narrow our list down even more." Lydai had come up with a great plan like always. The others were looking a bit skeptically. Probably because this would put me in danger. " It was just an idea."
" And a good idea at that. It should work." Deaton agreed with lydia. I did as well. Now don't get me wrong It makes me very nervous to get close to whatever's out there but so far it's all we got.
" I agree as well.'' After I agreed Peter gave me a look that said ' hell no. And don't you dare.'
" It's too dangerous. We don't know anything about this thing. We don't know what we're getting into." Scott As our alpha was feeling the worst I'd imagined. He's feeling all of his pack mates worry and stress. It's a lot. I understand it. He doesn't want me to get hurt. But we need to do this.
" Yeah I agree with Scott, Damn I can't believe I actually said that." Peter made his opinion clear. He didn't want me in any kind of danger. Which I find just adorable.
" Then what do you suppose we do huh?! Set here and do nothing. That's not good for any of us, ok. We need to take action into our own hands if this thing won't. We're making the first move soon!" Lydia did not sound angry even though she raised her voice. More scared than anything. I knew she hated just sitting around and not doing anything. We were really just a group of sitting ducks at this point.
At this point it was decided. We'd make a move soon.
AN: Sorry this chapter is short. It's more of a filler anyway. The story is gonna get more interesting soon I swear.
