Akiara~ Uh sure. I think it goes something like this... Right in the middle of your body there is a small orb called a core that stores your soul and maybe even a magical ability, the younger you are the larger the core. As you gradually grow older the orb starts to shrink until you're full grown and it's slightly smaller than a pea.
Arai~ That's correct! It's been 2000 years since cores were first discovered along with wizardry. But the problem is, as time went on-
Akiara~ We started to get lazy.
Arai~ Mhm. There are 2 ways to obtain magical ability,
Inherit it from a parent. Explanation: If a child born from a wizard there's a 98% Chance the child will be able to use magic with practice.
Murder... If a person kills a wizard and digs deep enough into the body the killer might find the core and can eat it, like a pill.
Arai~ Now I'm not particularly interested in that kind of method considering it is a crime.
Ena~ Oh my goodness! That got scary really fast.
Akiara~ I'm guessing even if you're not born from a wizard there's a small chance you'll get a core with an ability.
Arai~ Yep! A 4% Chance!
Ena~ Wait, do you think there's a wizard out there that's able to see if someone has magic in their core?
Arai~ Of course! There's a wizard for everything.
Akiara~ You said I'm able to use magic. How long does it take to be able to use magic to its full potential?
Arai~ After you unlock your core, if you train every day for about a month then you'll be able to use your power up to its full potential. I feel it's best to train every second day for about 4 hours, it's the most efficient way to be able to use power without wearing yourself out too much.
Ena~ But how long will that take?
Arai~ Up to 3 months.
Akiara checks the clock on the wall (2:47)
Ena~ Wait, aren't we forgetting something?
Akiara~ I haven't forgotten
Arai~ Forgotten what?
Akiara~ I'm a literal sacrifice. It's the reason you're here. Now I've seen a lot of action movies in my 15 years alive and my guess is that you're here to unlock my core and train me.
Ena~ My question was never answered.
Arai~ You would be correct.
Ena~ Who-?
Arai~ Akiara, I am indeed here to train her to be just like her mother, maybe even better!
Akiara checks clock again (3:10)
Akiara~ *Impatient* UGH! Time is going so slowwww. All of this information is giving me a headache.
Ena~ How do you think I feel? I'm 7 and have to listen to my older uglier sibling somehow be more important than me.
Akiara~ That's a little harsh.
Ena~ But it's true. As the younger one I should be the priority.
Arai~ You guys wanna come to my house? Like Akiara said, time seems to be really slow.
Ena~ I'm 7
Arai~ I'm sure that Nozomi will let me take you, I'm very responsible.
Akiara~ You're my age. You can't be TO responsible.
