-Chapter 4-

'Coincidence'

// O P H E L I A \\

The incident and my visit with the family occurred a week ago. I haven't been there in a long time, unlike before, when I regularly ate supper or lunch with my parents and siblings since Emerson always made sure I was aware that our cousins and aunt were still around. As a result, he forbade me from going there unless I didn't want to be irritated to our cousins and aunt.

My brother often complains to me about them being in the house since they usually make a mess and whine about everything.

Except for the adorable infant, as Emer mentioned.

But that won't be till today. This darling baby, as he was formerly known, peed on his feet, prompting him to barge into my penthouse and stomp his feet since his brand new pair of shoes had been peed on.

We're both walking around the mall now, surrounded by bodyguards. Emer compelled me to treat him like a pair of shoes, and since it was only a pair of shoes, I had no choice but to go with him.

But boy, was I mistaken. The nine bodyguards with us each had four shopping bags on their arms, and the things were almost certainly Emer's.

My feet were hurting from the 3 hours of walking around the mall, and I was constantly scrunching up my nose. My dear brother was grinning as he clutched my platinum card in his hands, as if it were his.

I told him a while ago that he should've brought his girlfriend because shopping isn't my thing. However, he stated that he is now single and has no plans to remain in a relationship after learning that his girlfriend is pregnant from a different man. My heart clenched for my little heartbroken brother, and then he simply stated that he no longer loves her. He admitted that he was never wounded when they broke up, and that he believes she isn't the right girl for him at this moment, and it's most likely not the time he stated.

"I regret it for allowing you push me to come here," I grumbled at my brother, who was currently beaming and looked about for another shop to plunder.

He turned to me and said, "Well, you had no choice." He then went faster to a store I didn't recognize because I'm not a big shopper. Actually, I'd rather purchase online than waste my time walking about till I find something that appeals to me.

Emer drew me in. I was ready to enter the store where he vanished. When the boutique's name drew my attention.

'El's Red Roses'

El.

It sounds familiar.

Through the glass doors, I noticed that the shop was surrounded by red colors or rose flowers, which perfectly complemented the name.

Another thing that drew my eye was a large painting of a lady in a large space in the shop, but the woman's face was devoid of any facial features.

It's got to be the owner.

"Ate? Ate!!!" I flinched at my brother's shout. As my focus finally drawn to him, "What?"

"Kanina pa kita paulit-ulit na tinatawag. Ano ba nasa isip mo? What are you staring at?" He questioned me suspiciously while a shop employee was on his back, lugging two baskets full of clothes. (I've been calling you over and over a while ago. What was on your mind?)
