Basketball game starts in thirty minutes⌚️

"Where's Jameehl?" Was the first thing Bria asked me when she got up the bleachers, "it would be too loud here for him, he's at my dad's house." I answered.

This is Bria's first time being here, the game starts an hour later than when her shift ends so she's here today.

Elijah is sitting right next to me, his mom couldn't come because Naveah has to sleep and she couldn't just leave her.

Von was sitting behind us with his brother, they said that his brother's best friend is playing on the other team.

I think his name was Dontai and Von's brother's name is Lenny, I also thought they were a couple but Von said they definitely aren't a couple.

We had to come earlier to save some seats cause it was packed in here, some people were even sitting on the steps of the bleachers.

"My bad. My bad. My bad." Reese repeated over and over while going up the steps before sitting in the seat next to Elijah that we saved for him.

JD wasn't sitting with us because he and two other people were in charge of stopping the clock and stuff.

This is just a Highschool game but here are so many people.

I think I just saw some camera's too.

Elijah knocked his knee against mine and left it there making me look up at him because I thought he wanted to say something but he just continued looking forward at Mike's team warming up.

I smiled lightly and looked down at my hands so no one would see me blushing but of course Bria was staring at me.

She raised her brows and then looked away.

There was a loud sound and then they said to welcome the guests, every single name was said except the ones who were on the bench.

Dontai was on the bench.

"Why would they have him on the bench?" Lenny spoke with a frown on his face, "'cause he's ass." Von said making Bria and Elijah bust out laughing.

"Mane you wrong as hell." Reese smacked his teeth, I glared at Elijah because obviously Lemmy was upset because of that comment.

Elijah stopped laughing immediately, "you're so mean." Lenny mumbled and I only know what he said by reading his lips because it's so loud in here.

We waited the rest of the time and then both teams had to get in their positions.

I know that Mike is a point guard.

There was a loud whistle sound and the game finally started, Mike made me watch so many basketball games of the warriors with him, I think I know how basketball works now.

The other team had the ball first and they immediately went in their half with the ball, there wasn't much movement before all of a sudden the ball was thrown far away in the other half and someone caught it and dumped it in the basket.

"Yo ain't no way!" Someone shouted and everyone got loud, "yoooo" Elijah put his fist over his mouth.

I didn't see that coming at all.

Mike's coach yelled at him from where he was standing, Mike put his hands on his waist and just took what his coach was yelling in.

It was his job to take that ball but no one even saw that coming.

The game just started and he's already getting yelled at.

This is hurting me to see someone yelling at him, Mike is like my brother or even my son now.

He has grown to me and seeing him getting yelled at for a little mistake is upsetting me.

The game continued and this time Mike's team had the ball, the ball went back and forth and eventually the other coach called a time out.

"I low-key wanna be a coach, shit seems fun." Elijah said and I raised my brows.

"Coach Papi." I wiggled my brows and he chuckled, "don't call me that." He mumbled while looking around and tugging at the front of his pants.

I chuckled, "seriously though you should definitely talk to the principle of this school or whatever and maybe you can take his spot."

I would be more than happy because this white man is yelling at my son for no reason.

I feel like yelling at kids is only gonna make them angry so maybe if you say it normal they will be able to get it into their heads better.

That's just how I want to raise my child.

Elijah nodded, "we ain't never made a handshake." He said. I gasped because we really didn't.

We made up a random handshake while laughing at the many unnecessary claps and snips.

"Ayo rate this handshake from one to ten." Elijah said while looking at our friends around us.

We did the handshake, "Ima rate it a ten cause Crystal clapping his hands looks cute." Reese said making Elijah mug him.

"I rate it a ten for the same reason." Bria said making Elijah smack his teeth, "mane I'm having a good day. Y'all ruinin it." He spoke.

We laughed.

"It's creative. Y'all get a fat eleven." Lenny said and Von nodded, "ouuu yesss" I grinned widely, the grin making my eyes squint and Elijah chuckled at me.

"Bruh you're so cute." He mumbled making me look down while my skin heated up.

We looked forward and a few seconds later there was a loud sound and everyone went back on the court, some players switched out.

Dontai was still on the bench just looking at the game.

Lenny sighed and we continued to watch the game.
