(A one shot story)

My life has been so plain and dull for I can't find my rainbow sunshine but now that I have found you, will you be mine, Sunshine?

I'm in our family reunion. It's Christmas Eve and we've all decided to celebrate it here in our grandparents house. I'm confused who's who sa dami nila. Mabuti nalang at malaki ang bahay.

"Bakit po 'la?" Tanong ko at dumatig sa kanya.

I was close to her because she's the one who took care of me when I was I kid. My mom was busy at work and my dad passed away already.

She was struggling so I offered help. It's old and rusty, maalikabok at halatang matagal nang hindi nagagalaw.

She told me to open it but it was stuck. I got myself a knife and use it to open the can. May libro do'n na luma. Tuwang-tuwa iyong kinuha ni Lola at binuklat.

Sa loob noon ay pictures at sulat. It wasn't a book, it's more like a journal. Every picture has its own story. The front page says:

My Rainbow sunshine.

New year na ngayon at wala akong gagawin. We welcomed the year in our house at mamaya pa ang family dinner sa bahay nila Lola Sina.

I'm here alone at a cafe. It was still cold in January. Medyo umaambon lang. I was enjoying my own company when my phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered my cousin's call.

"Kuya Gab!" Sam was sounded worried.

Lola was old so sometimes she can be childish or clingy. She often find me kasi I gonna admit I'm the favorite.

"I'm sorry-" I stopped when I saw her face. She was smiling so genuinely to her friend kaya siguro hindi niya rin ako nakita.

Her smile fades and replaced with a grumpy one. "Watch it!" She said and rolled her eyes.

She giggled like she done something funny.

Finally Lola calmed down and fell asleep. I was still thinking of the girl at the coffee shop. Her smile that turned into a fake frown then smiles again. She reminds me of something.

It has a stolen picture of a girl laughing not caring about the people around her. She was sitting on the grass with a kid. They we're playing.

I read the story written under it.

It was slightly raining but you're smiles just brought sunshine. Light rain plus your sunshine made a rainbow. A colorful rainbow that brought color in my life.
