The heavy, pressing guilt towers over me, the music leaving long ago
As my heart had eternally collapsed while I stared with indescribable sorrow.
Although nothingness had strangled me, like the rope around your neck,
This little song, this massive guitar, is a tsunami of regret.
An adoration, a bursting, bubbling butterfly flutters in my mind
Gradually drowning in darkness, becoming harder and harder to find.
Life wraps itself around my ribs; my breath being held captive in my throat
My soul develops its final crack before breaking out its last note...
However, your vibrant, ocean irises flow through my heart like waves
The light in the universe returning to me, and the world ascending like scales on staves.
Because you encourage me to do things that I would never, ever dare
And you envelope me in sweet embraces, ones that sing to me that you care.
You create the cultivated cadences and let me strum along,
As you have, and will always be, the melody to our love's song.
