As my sparkling, blue irises get pulled to the horizon
My heart can trace your gaze following me.
We walk along in a silence that makes the loudest sound,
A noise that is more melodious than music could ever be.
The waves slightly shimmer as the sun casts down
Its golden beams of light that illuminate the shore
But my soul never warms when I walk here alone
Because you're the only one who makes my world feel so pure.
Each and every step is weightless under my feet
Since your presence is always there, like the wind beneath my wings
Carrying me to my destiny, my happiness, my dreams
And forever holding my hand through all the difficult things.
My expression stays still but my heart strongly hammers
At the realisation that you'll eternally be in my base,
And as I finally tear my eyes away from the tide
My feet continue to collide with the ground wholly at your pace.
The love shared between us bubbles in my blood
Circulating around my soul and forcing a small smile.
When the memories play repeatedly from then to now
And the millions of moments beautifully compile.
I look into your elated, emerald orbs
And everything in the world softens and calms.
It's really fascinating how a stare can show so much
Proving our love even more with the clasp of our palms.
The gentle breeze blows my black locks around
And your beaming, blushing face disappears before my eyes
Bringing me back to a time filled with fear
As you flailed in the ocean and I heard your cries.
But I managed to save you, to provide serenity in the storm
And we leaned against the cliff, living to see another day.
The appreciation that you're here twinkles in my sapphire irises
And my mouth fetches these words to life, speaks exactly what you'd say.
