Your parents are in love. You knew that. Everyone knows it. The way they look at each other. The little smiles. The little smirk. The little kisses when they think no one is looking. They're annoyingly cute. You love them. Sometimes they're apart. Leading their people. Lexa leads trikru. Clarke leads skaikru. You know they love each other. You know it will be fine between them. They always return to each other and when they do, well you might wanna buy earplugs. You don't wanna know that. You didn't want to but you know. That one time when you were a little kid. You drew something and wanted to show your parents. You had that awkward talk at breakfast. You ran away from the table. You ran into Raven. 'Hey I was on my way to see your mom,' is what she had said. You overheard the conversation she had with your moms. 'So you got caught huh?' it's a sentence you hadn't forgotten. You wish you did. Later they caught you kissing a boy in Arkadia. You thought your parents were in Polis. You were wrong. You had another awkward talk with your parents. It didn't work out with the boy. Lexa found you crying in your room. She comforted you all night. She read you stories. She kept you close. Finally you fell asleep on top of her. Your head on her chest. Her arms around you. Lexa was soft for you. You're a teen. Your mom asked Kane to teach you some stuff. He pretended like you knew nothing. He gave you an easy book to read. Because you were a "beginner". You weren't. Lexa taught you how to read when you were little. Writing. You could do that as well. Kane didn't know that. How should he have known anyway. You prefer Polis over Arkadia. 'It's nicer,' Clarke taught you how to write and draw. You don't understand why Clarke is making you do this since she taught you all that he's teaching you now.

When you were 10 years old Octavia tried to teach you how to fight until Clarke said something about it. You sat in your room alone and heard your parents fight about you. 'She shouldn't have to learn how to fight at such a young age,'

'Clarke it's dangerous in this world we can't deny reality,'

Then you heard sobs. Your moms didn't want you to grow up in a dangerous world. They felt guilty as they were the leaders of their people. 'The world is dangerous. We lead the world. We could've made it safer for our kid,' You stand up.

'It's not your fault mommy,' you say. Clarke looks down at you with tears in her eyes. You hate seeing her like this. The three of you hug. Clarke tries to hide her quiet sobs but you hear them. 'Mommy I'll always stay with you so I'll be safe. Mom can fight them all,' you said. You looked up to your moms. In every way possible.

You've been safe until that one day. You were 13. Azgeda disagreed with your mom. You were picking flowers for Lexa's birthday. You and Clarke were making her a huge gift. A girl offered to help. She said she saw some nice flowers up north. 'I'm not allowed to go there,' you said. You had to stay in Polis for your own safety. 'Come on we'll pick the flowers and go back,' she said.

You wanted your mom to have the prettiest flowers in the world so you went with her. It was getting kinda cold. 'Are we going to azgeda?' you asked. You heard the woman groan. Suddenly you had a bag over your face and you couldn't see anything. You screamed. You were held hostage for two days then your parents found you. You sank into their bodies.

Back home Clarke yelled at you for leaving Polis. Lexa told her to calm down and let you explain what happened. You told them you wanted Lexa to have the prettiest flowers in the world.

'Your sweet but I'd rather have you and mommy,' she says.

It's her birthday. You give her the flowers and the dress that Clarke bought. She loves it. She kisses you on the top of your head. And then she kisses your mom. Passionately. 'Gross,' you say. But you love them. Your parents are in love and you love them for it. You know their relationship is hard but you know they will always love each other.

You finished your piece of cake. You tried to bake it the night before but you failed. Clarke tried to help but cooking is not her thing. When you two nearly set Polis on fire Lexa came to help. You told her she shouldn't. 'Well I want to keep my home so you better let me help,' she said. Lexa is busy. Clarke wraps her arms around Lexa from behind. 'Clarke I'm busy,' You hear your mom hum. Then she kisses her neck. You don't want to see this.

'Hey kid,' Raven always called you that. You were wandering around in her garage. You loved hanging out with Raven. She was the "cool aunt". 'Say happy birthday tomorrow to your mom from me,' she said. You nodded.

You looked at Lexa's cake. You finished your own. Lexa noticed you were looking. Clarke gave Lexa the "don't you dare" look. She gave her cake to you anyway. Lexa had a soft spot for you.

Your sixteenth birthday. You wanted to keep the party small but Clarke said that your sweet sixteen is important. Lexa didn't understand what was so important about turning sixteen. Clarke had kissed her all over her face. 'Why did you do that?' she asked. 'You're cute when you're confused,'

Lexa whispered: 'sky people,' under her breath. You chuckled. You love your parents. You really do. You'll never stop loving them. They made you the person you are today. They're perfect for each other. Your parents are soulmates.
