I didn't even look before grabbing Mattheo's hand, gripping it hard. The sorting hat was placed on his head, "Interesting, better be... Slytherin!"

I took a closer look at my supposed to be dead brother and growled.

His scent, it was dead yet smelled like him. He was a heretic.

"Alex, Love, My Mate?" I snapped out of it and turned to Mattheo. "We need to leave, now," I demanded and quickly teleported us to the astronomy tower.

"What? I don't get why you stressed?" he asked as he watched me pace.

"It seems our family has an odd way of choosing who has the ghost gene," I said and received a confused look.

"My curse Theo. Kai wasn't supposed to come back, he a heretic. Vampire-wizard(Maybe siphon) hybrid." I said and growled again.

"Well, now your angry?" he asked.

"Sorry, I don't know how to block things through this mate bond." I said quickly.

"There's no need, it helps when you act all psycho or emotionless. But why are you mad?" he asked.

"I grieved for him, he was selfish," I growled, eyes glowing, "He left me, alone. He broke all the promises we made." I whimpered at the pang of pain that hit me.

Mattheo hugged me then kissed me before saying: "You are strong, and we'll get over this- Together because that's what mates do."

I smiled and turned at him serious. "Remember that list I mentioned when we were playing around?"

We walked down the stairs to our next class. "The one about who I need alive?" he asked and I nodded as we sat down.

"I need the names, my brother may get out of control," I whispered.

"Tom, Draco-" I groaned. "Yeah yeah, I know you don't like him, I don't either but he's a deatheater. Lorenzo, any other deatheaters, and McGonagall." he stated.

"Theo, I need you to know that I love you... But we can't see each other when Kai's around." I said looking up at his beautiful brown eyes.

"Why? I don't understand," he said.
"Kai's worse than I was, you helped me. No one is there to help him, not even me. If he finds out about you-he will kill you," I answered.

He nodded and we walked too what would be the start of a very chaotic chain of events.

McGonagall started teaching us and Kai, being the attention-seeking idiot. Got into trouble arguing with her and got a detention.

"No," Kai said plainly.
"Mr. Parker, this isn't an optional case." she tried to say gently.
"You're not going to give me detention," he tried to compel her but she was on vervain, which meant that she got extra offended by his actions.

"Leave my class, Mr. Parker. I'll see you tonight and please- try to be more like your sister." Professor said making Kai turn to me surprised.

I intruded on his thoughts. "Shit." I mumbled and Mattheo gave me a look. "He's planning on going after Lorenzo. Something about him and Draco pushing him around, calling him a mudblood et cetra." I explained.

"Professor, may I be excused to the bathroom?" I asked politely and she nodded.

I ran after Kai's scent, only to find an dead Stacy and Kai feeding off Lorenzo.

I pulled him back by his shirt and stood between him and my brother.

Kai smirked and I growled. "Alex, move out of the way, your ruining my lunch." he said and pushed me away.
