Dean's POV
Last night Sam had finally calmed down enough to fall asleep. But this morning he still wasn't talking. Cas and Gabe were still sleeping. I don't even know what Bobby would be doing this early in the morning. He wasn't in the bunker. But we always have to stay until he tells us to come out. Sam shook my awake and gave me a big hug as if saying, 'Thank God your still here.'
"I'm not going anywhere Sammy. Ever." He looked at me like he didn't believe me. "Can you go get me that chair over there so I can sit normally? I'll be right here." Sam was hesitant at first... But hurried and got the chair so he could get back to me.
Sammy helped me up and then sat on my lap again. I gave him another hug, then ruffled his hair. I saw Cas sitting up and leaning up against the wall looking at us. I ignored him though. Just so my baby brother knew I was never going to leave him.
Castiel's POV
I could see how much Sam looked up to Dean. I don't know if Dean was just being a good big brother or not... But he had proved me wrong. He isn't just some jock. He is a jock that has a big heart for his little brother.
Sam helped take Dean's jacket off because of is arm. Dean wrapped Sam in it and gave him another hug. It was actually kinda... Heartwarming to see a guy like this actually give a crap for something other than himself or his slut girlfriend.
The door opens and Dean is already protecting Sam and pointing a gun. Where did that come from? When he sees it's only Bobby... He puts it down and hands Sam to Bobby just so he can try to get up.
Dean takes Sam's hand again and turns to me. "It's safe to leave. Were gonna have breakfast then drive you home." I nod and wake Gabe up. "Gabe. Breakfast." He slowly gets up. He turns to look at me. "Was it all a dream? Or is this real?" "Real. Sorry to tell you that." Gabe just rolls his eyes.
Dean's POV
Sam helps me walk up the stairs as my leg got shot... He was happy to do it nonetheless. I know how clingy he gets sometimes. Cas and Gabe meet us upstairs moments later. "Hope you can explain this to your folks without the whole... 'Someone Tried To Kill Us.' thing." Bobby said to Cas.
Gabe and Cas look to each other. "Uh. Yea. No... Problem." Gabe says.
Meanwhile at the breakfast table... Sam wasn't eating. "Common Sammy. Don't do this to yourself again." I was referring to the last time. Sam got way too thin. I wasn't gonna let that happen again.
I picked up his fork and handed it to him. Sam looked at it, then set it back down and put his head on my shoulder. He was sitting in a different seat than me but still did it. I ruffled his hair and understood if he really didn't want to eat. "Gabe. It's Friday. We have school. Fudge."
"It's fine. We will only be a few minutes late." Gabe said and Cas glared at him. As we finished up, we helped Bobby with the dishes and headed out. Sam sat in back with Gabe, and Cas sat up front with me. We all had to grab our things from our houses, then we drove to school.
Sam helped me walk to the office and we had them change John from our guardian... To Bobby. We got our schedules and I walked Sammy to his first class. When we got there, the teacher was in the middle of a lesson.
I knocked on the door frame to get the teacher's attention. He looked over to us and smiled when he saw Sammy. I pulled the teacher out to the hallway so I could talk to him.
"Don't make Sammy talk. He and I went through some things yesterday and he hasn't talked or eaten since. He is a smart kid and he will do his homework. So just don't make him talk at all until he is ready." "What happened?" "That is none of your concern." "I think it is. If one of my students isn't going to talk... Then I need to know why."
