CHRISTMAS WAS APPROACHING - AND FAST. So fast, in fact, that it was only two days away. This was supposed to be good.... right? Well, of course, it was the Lupins favourite holiday - right after her birthday, obviously.
But she was rather disappointed, Remus had nervously told his daughter that they weren't going back to Lupin cottage for Christmas..
Why was this such a big deal?
Well, since you asked, the reason it was such a big deal was simply because the two Lupins couldn't carry on their tradition if they didn't go back home.
And now your probably wondering, what's the tradition????
Well, it was a thing Remus Lupin did with Mia Winters, Olivia's mother, every Christmas.
Mia would always rant on and on about how she wanted to have a family - a big one at that! And someday they could all make memories, carry on the tradition and just be generaly happy - it makes the elder Lupin tear up a bit just thinking about it.
Remus would always listen with rapid attention, nodding along whenever she looked at him for his opinion. James and Sirius would always snicker to themselves and tease him constantly about the dreamy smile that took over his scarred face every time he looked at Winters. Though, in reality, James Potter couldn't really say shit.
When she died... he wanted to carry the tradition on - and that's exactly what he did.
Now, years later, he just suddenly drops the news like its nothing! And to Olivia it wasn't nothing.
So, every single day, without fail, she would go to her father's office and try to find some sort of way to make him change his mind. Though, with Christmas only bring two days away, she was starting to loose hope.
'Last times the charm.' She thought as she walked to the office 'I think that's how muggles say it... but don't they also say 'whoever smelt it, found it?' Yeah, I remember, Hermione said that once..'
"You've gotta stop talking to yourself, Pup." Came a voice, making her jump "You can get locked up for that." a/n: My mum says this to me all the time lmao)
