Well, look at that...
.
.
.

You're finally awake..

Now now, no need to be shy, I wouldn't hurt you

I assume you don't remember anything.. how you got here... or who you are.

Allow me to recount your story... may you fetch me that book by the lamp?

(You have acquired Book!)

"Bring it here."

(You have given Book to Shadow!)

Very well, you may sit back down.

Now, let me recall. You we're on the outskirts of the abandoned city, a city reduced to ruins long ago..

.
.
.

You were low on supplies, starving for even a morsel of food, and you came across a butcher.

The butcher had an empty feeling in his eyes, but you were quickly distracted by his quality cuts of meat.

You thought it was quite unusual for a butcher to be around these parts, in the middle of an abandoned city almost no one dared cross, but shrugged it off.

You continued your trek, eating dried meat that the butcher gave to you, "on the house", as he said.

But along the path you saw a starving hunter, like you, his supplies dwindled.

"Please, spare me a but a single morsel of your food, and good luck will reward you further down your path", the man pleaded.

You looked at him in sympathy, for you had felt the same way not too long ago. But you moved on, ignoring the hunter.

Soon you would come across a tall, leaning building. It seemed to not have much structural integrity, but you could see lights on inside.

'Perhaps theres people inside', you thought. You cautiously walked in, prepared for the worst.

As you walked in a clank echoed across the room and you immediately felt an agonizing pain shoot up through your leg.

It was a bear trap, and out of the shadows came the same hunter who you had rejected food.

The hunter contemplated eating you, but instead took your food and ran off, leaving you in the building by yourself.

As it turned out, you made a pretty good lure for the wolves roaming the wasteland at night.

You died a long and painful death, you made a mistake.

But dont worry... tomorrow is another day.

.

That is enough reminiscing for now, you should rest. You'll need it if you want to survive next time.
