~~~Prologue~~~
Waking up isn't easy, but it isn't as hard as trying to conjure a normal conversation with your neglecting dad. I only have one parent aka my dad, as mum died mysteriously although im pretty sure he murdered her for being on my side.
There's no one else I can go to as both grandparents are deceased, and have been for 8 years. So for now, I'm stuck with my alcohol-addicted "father", like he's some sort of GOOD parental figure.
Dad seemed rather grumpy this morning, and to not upset him even more, I grabbed a croissant, put on my headphones and left the house listening to my favourite Japanese songs. Walking to school is calming, but lately I felt like a part of me was missing.
[10 minutes later]
~~~Part 1~~~

I finally reached the school and instantly my ears were filled with senseless and useless noise.

How stupid teenagers can be is quite unknown, but I'm just glad it's my last year of school.

"Heyy bestayyyy"

Someone latched onto my arm from behind, but it didn't scare me.

"Oh. um. Hey Maddie." I glanced one last time at the school and swiveled to face my best friend.

"Hey Mads, there's something on your face-" I only said this because she was wearing bright makeup.

Her smile dropped down and we just stared carelessly at each other to see who would crack first. Luckily, it was her.

This was the first time I had seen her this happy in, well, ages. Ever since her beloved frog died, she hasn't been as excitable and wholesome. It was great to see her like this, but fun always has to end someway.

"Hey, could you do me a favour? I really need you to...bla bla bla bla bla"

That's all i could hear as suddenly, my mind went foggy and I slumped onto the floor, Maddie screaming my name.
